I have a space saver rear wheel fitted with a brand new Continental 135 80R/17 tyre. I am open to offers for it if you're interested. I am in Cheddar, Somerset. It's too heavy to post! Cheers. Bruce.
I did replace the coolant outlet housing a few years ago as the thermostat had stuck open and the car was running cold. It was a bit fiddly, especially as you say getting the clip on the hose around the back of the block. It's impossible to see what you're doing but eventually the sprung clip...
Is anyone able to post a diagram of the cooling system on the 1.6THP please? I've got coolant dripping from the back of the engine somewhere but when I've jacked it up and looked from underneath I can't see where it's coming from! I could remove the battery and plastic trunking from above to...
If you do replace the fuel pressure sensor you might be able to connect a pressure gauge whilst it's out to test the pressure in the fuel rail. The fuel pressure on the low pressure side of the pump is about 70psi but someone on YouTube said it's more like 800psi on the high pressure side...
The P0087 Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low message is often the result of a defective fuel pump. They use hydraulic oil as a transfer fluid and over time the oil leaks past the worn seals. My RCZ came up with P0087 and ran really badly when it was cold. It would be OK when it had warmed up slightly...
I'll certainly do that. My last pump was replaced by Peugeot under warranty at about 38,000 miles and approx. seven years ago. Current mileage is 81,000 - so the last pump only did about 43,000 miles but over a longish time period.
This is a cheaper alternative to taking your RCZ to Peugeot for a new HPFP. I bought a 'remanufactured' fuel pump on Ebay. It costs about £150 plus the postage to send my own pump to the chap who reconditions them (I used RM Special Delivery). It's clear from his feedback that he has done a...
If someone drove into the back of you could they claim that you had partially obscured the brake light? I guess probably not as this is an 'extra' brake light? Cheers. Bruce.
Hi. Thanks for the tip. I know the petrol engine also has the same sensor. However, as the engine is running badly and it's not just a case of an engine fault message I think there is a genuine fault. I'm going to buy a fuel pressure gauge and check the pressure from the tank fuel pump...
Thanks for your reply Nemi. The two Peugeot dealers I emailed haven't replied yet. I have a Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low engine fault and thought it might be due to the fuel filter. It seems likely now that it is the high pressure fuel pump. The last few times I've started the RCZ I've given...
I've had a thorough look through this forum and all over the web to try to find the location of the fuel filter on my 1.6 156THP. I've also jacked the car up and had a good look round for it. Common opinion on this forum is that there isn't a fuel filter on the petrol RCZ - just a screen on...
I would guess that £2500 to repair one jacking point must be at least ten times what other workshops would charge. Perhaps they just quoted a daft price as they don't want to do the job.
