To help you find the bleed screw - if you look at this photo from an Ebay listing the cross head bleed screw is just above the blue gasket. Cheers. Bruce.
I changed the oil on my auto 156. The drain plug is easy to spot. It has a torx bolt in the centre which seals a pipe that determines that the oil is at the correct level. So you remove the whole plug to drain it then screw back in the larger outer part, top up the oil until oil comes out of...
Hi. I'm sure it will be fine to drive it for a couple of weeks. It will just use a bit more fuel as it will be running below temperature. The price of £350 seems high for what is probably two hours work at most. Maybe shop around for a cheaper quote - I know it's probably not easy to do that...
It sounds like the thermostat is stuck open. I had exactly the same problem with my 1.6 156HP. I replaced the thermostat housing (the thermostat is not removeable) and it's not too difficult. There are two larger hoses, two smaller hoses, an electrical connector, three bolts and a fitting...
I sold this wheel to 'boatdriver' further up in this post. I thought the wheel fitted front and rear but could be wrong. You could always move the rear wheel to the front and always fit the spare wheel on the rear although it's not ideal by the side of the road. Cheers. Bruce.
I know some people will say that draining the oil through the dipstick is not a good way to do it but I did that every time on my RCZ. The car is so low that it's not easy getting to the sump plug (there's probably a cover that needs to be removed?) and when removing the sump plug on any car...
If your temperature gauge stays at about half way then there shouldn't be a problem with the thermostat. If the fuel pump is at fault it's most likely that you will have poor running when you first start it and the engine fault message come up almost straightaway. You say that you hope that...
I've now sold my RCZ so have a set of Mintex front brake pads that are surplus to requirements. These are probably better quality than the cheap pads you get on Ebay or from discount motor parts suppliers.
£15 with freepost (UK only). It will probably cost me a few quid to send them so I...
I've just sold my RCZ 1.6 THP so no longer need the space saver wheel / tyre. It's a never been used Continental tyre 135/80 17. If my memory is correct it's a space saver from Peugeot 407. Although it's a 17" rim the tyre profile is higher than the RCZ so the overall diameter is very close...
I've got a 'Ron' metal jacking aid. As I've just sold my RCZ I no longer need it. If anyone in the UK wants it I can sell it for £10 with freepost. Cheers. Bruce.
