Easiest way I've found is to lift the handbrake gater nearest the arm rest and unclipped it there, then put hand underneath and feel for a tab, 1 on end (not the easiest to press) 1 on long edge press towards drivers seat and upwards. Once one is up you can then get your fingers to it...

It's normal for the turbo to be cooled after running. My RCZ-R does a similar noise even when run at 60 mph.
