    Newbie looking for an R

Yes they do rust here, but I think the general condition of some of the cars is attributed to the owners who generally don't care about their car. Nothing wrong with that, some want to just buy and drive and are not in it for the long term, also I think small numbers has more of a part to play...

Pity they are not holding in the UK.

Interesting thought, maybe you should message the seller with that thought, the car is for sale on here.

Yes you are right about the 16.5 k car Kerr, my comments weren’t received very well on here regarding that car, I was just being honest. The wear on the steering wheel is strange not seen that before, also didn’t notice the door. I also had checked the red one, as you say fluctuating brakes a...

Well a couple of new R s have come to market, as usual prices all over the place.

So should we be thinking when an R that is currently under warranty will be worth a lot less when the warranty is over? As I have said previously I do respect your opinion, but if we are to run with the market our R/s are as you quote AT are they worth next to nothing? As a comparison Audi TTs...

If you have have a good R why should you take any notice of AT? or any other platform to be honest Kerr. A good R now is becoming very hard to find, a bad R will always be a bad liability and a money pit. At present the grey R on AT is a good buy, it’s a honest car, I hope the seller holds out.

    2015 RCZ R For Sale 29K miles Moroccan Red £14.5K RCZ 622

Very sorry to hear about your partner. I think you may need to move a lot on your selling price, despite not being in a rush. The wheels will put a lot of buyers off, as will the arches being wrapped, originality is key with the R. Good luck though with your sale.

Totally agree with your point Kerr about the enthusiast bit, maybe the majority are buying, thrashing them for a while then simply selling them on when MOT time is coming, that car would have defiantly been a peanut trade in, maybe that's why the dealer hasn't bothered with the presentation.

So the saga continues, another R has come to market on AT, 10k for what I would describe as a poor car, anyone buying the latest one can only look forward to large bills. There will be a lot of these types of R/s coming up from now on, and they will only get cheaper as they will cost more to...

You would have to be crazy or desperate to let that car go for £8750, I agree with Flanners earlier comments about dealers trying to control the market, we all know the government is trying to con us all to get into an electric car along with manufacturers, that to me is why prices are so called...

    Newbie looking for an R

I dread to think what the owner of the black one with low miles got for it, must have been a mad moment which I am sure they will regret. That was a lot of car for the money, I don’t care what official guides say. I think a bigger problem with the R moving forward will not be the cost of...

    Newbie looking for an R

I think you do talk a lot of sense Kerr, and I do respect your view and fact in your post. For me though the problem is that most Rs that come up need money spending on them, the brakes alone can add with callipers of course 3-4k if not done, therefore if you buy a so called market price car as...

    Newbie looking for an R

For me moving forward there are 2 types of buyers, there are those who still want one of these for a daily, so not much point in paying top price, as your always going to put big miles on it and the car will be worth less. Then there are those buyers who want a good example with low miles who...

    OCD getting into your car

Funny you should mention that, exactly that lol, I have always ensured clean hands before driving the Z, plus trainers only to preserve minimum wear to pedals and the carpet. Thinking about it, I must be crazy 🙃

    The R is out.

Went to work in the R today, great drive into Kendal. I am definitely not driving this great car enough, I say this because with the R all the fun and power is high up the rev range, the R turns into a completely different car at speed. My commute to the lakes is mainly motorway, the rolling...

It does look a little uncared for, what’s going on at the back on the boot lip with the black plastic ?

Out of interest what are you driving at the moment for a daily?

The wheels are the Achilles heel along with the brakes on the R, it’s not a surprise when cars come up with these problems. IMO the wheels are a crazy design for a daily driver given how easy anyone can kerb a car by mistake, add to that the diamond cut and they become even more of a problem...
