The 2022-0 (the maps are West, but Italy is equally covered in EAST and WEST editions - benefit of being located in the middle of Europe) maps do have POI included (icons on the map), but the search for POI categories does not work.

To be fair, I have no way of knowing if the maps really are 2022 as I checked one "known" changed road since April 2021 and it is not "fixed" in the 2022 files. So they may be actual 2022 maps or not. Regarding 2022 with POI - I'll keep checking the reputable sites I used for the 2021-1 maps...

I have successfully installed the maps. They do show up as 2022.0. They however do not have 2016 POI included.

True that. I havent updated this link as I paid for three months at the time I created the guide. I’ll do it again when the update drops.

POI in the 2021-1 maps are not included. It's a version of the maps without 2016 POI's included. There is not a separate installation file. I'm waiting for the 2022 version with the POI and will update the links accordingly when the update arrives.

What about the window seal? The one you have to remove to access the screws on the bottom side?

As I'll be removing the arch as soon as the weather gets better, I have a question about the window seal. Is the seal easily refitted? I was inspecting the area and was afraid I'd tear something.

No idea, but as mentioned before. The 2021-1 maps in the OP are based on BMW West. The 2020-2 maps in the OP are based on BMW East (Ross_Rusev provided the link). I personally can use either (Slovenia luckily counts as Central Europe and is included in both). Best bet for you is to try...

Use the second map link in the first post (the EAST 2020-2 maps that another user found). They apparently work as intended in Bulgaria so I believe Romania would also work. Additionally, the EAST maps cover (along with Eastern Europe) most of Central Europe out of the box, so installing that...

It's pretty much impossible to find older FW versions since it's so long after their release, the hosting websites purge the data. Probably the dealer is your only chance to getting it. They probably have DVD of the old FW somewhere in their archives. Since the older versions are obsolete...

No news as of yet. I’m checking the source forum every week and neither RNEG or RT6 or NG4 got an update in 2022 yet. Download from the unit itself? No idea.
