    R wanted

That's the one that was owned by a member, recently crashed isn't it?

    Cylinder 3

Petrol or diesel? Coil packs failing are a petrol thing, as is carbon build up but we could do with a bit more information.

    Fuel additive

I used to put 2EHN in my diesels. The used to run fine, placebo or not I'm not sure. Cheap enough though given you only need a small amount per tank.

Merry Xmas. Had a fun day baking sausage rolls, mince pies and fruit cake today. Oh, and drinking beer.

Engine fan on and erratic temp gauge P2279

I never really noticed with mine, but I'd assume your temp gauge is yoyoing because the cooling fan is running fast. Is the code from Planet or a generic reader?

Engine fan on and erratic temp gauge P2279

The fans running will probably be because of the DTC. The fans ran flat out on my RCZ when a coil pack failed.

RCZ R cylinder head replacement required????

Is it a different part? Or is it the same, and it's just the contents that are different?

    Sticking Clutch Pedal

Ignore me. I haven't had an RCZ for a few years, and for some reason my cold addled brain thought it was a cable. Then I realised they weren't made in 1984. Is bleeding it an option? I know you can on other cars, just over fill the clutch fluid reservoir and then bleed the slave.

    Aren't they a hydraulic clutch?

    Inner roof lining removal

No, because the roof isn't glass.

    Welcome, looking shiny 👍🏻

    Inner roof lining removal

It's not glass. I'd imagine removing the headliner would probably introduce more noise.

    A few engine errors

Low compression could be carbon build up. The carbon can prevent the piston rings from sealing correctly.

RCZ Breakdown help and advice please

I only ever used Diagbox or PP2k on my Peugeots. I made the mistake of taking one of my 407s to a "specialist" and they couldn't even access the dial cluster to remove the TPS flag that you need to when you fit rubber valves to them. So for about 2 months I kept getting beeps and flashing...

RCZ Breakdown help and advice please

Has it been on the correct diagnostic equipment? Generic readers can be way off the mark with Peugeot/Citroen stuff.

    New owner car smells

Without smelling it, it could be difficult just based on "acrid" Does it do it any time? Or only once hot? Maybe oil on the exhaust?

    Engine Start Issue

Probably nothing less than Diagbox/PP2k. Unless modern generic obd stuff is better than the ones I've used in the past. I didn't have Diagbox when I had starter motor problems, so didn't have it on hand to play with.
