Its been a couple of weeks since the R had its fuel pump, I am happy to say that full confidence has been restored.. I have put in excess of 500 miles on it since and it is definitely back with vengeance.. Last night afterseeing Depeche Mode at the O2 London, I managed to get from the dome via...
Parked on saturday at the outlet in Swindon. Used an area that was empty when I arrived. Iknew it would get busy, but thats why we went early.. To beat the crowds..
Walking back to a now heaving car park I noticed another Z on the end, nice, then I noted the empty space next to me being reversed...
Followed a red R through Lechlade last night. It had rear mudflaps fitted. I was the Grey one behind uou...Nice sight for passers by, two Rs brightning up a gloomy eveni g..
Well, the High Pressure fuel pump ( and pipe according to tbe invoice) have been changed, Fish Bros of Swindon Wiltshire have been really good, they got In touch with Peugeot and had the pump paid for by them, then arranged for the labour charges to be covered by my warrenty..So.... 60 miles...
The R is still in being investigated.. They had a look , cleared the code, road tested and.. got the code back.. On monday they are talking to the warrenty company to ......change the HP fuel pump..
I hardly ever see Z's on my journeys through Wiltshire and Gloustershire. Yesterday whilst waiting for the AA i noticed I was stood two cars down from a white Z.. When The owner came out I jestedcthat I hoped theirs was more reliable than mine.. Then tonight as I drove through Letchlade I was...
So...it broke down AGAIN.. It started at 0630 and ran for an hour.. no problems, came to start it at 1700 and it started and idled ok, then 2 mins later the dash warning for engine fault repair needed.... Great. The code this time was P0087. Low fuel rail pressure. Called the AA.. all they...
Cheers for the reply RCZ-R. I have tried your suggestions but it does not follow that pattern of faults. Today at 0630 am the car started without fault ( 11 deg OAT so not to cold, no "choke" function so engine went straight to 800 rpm), drove for just over an hour with no problems. I started...
I am now going tbrough the warrenty company to claim back the cost of my coil pack... However.. I think that there is some underlying problem, I accelerated away from a junction today (hot engine),and it felt rough, nowhere near as responsive as it used to..Another point of note was a lumpy...
Seems the R is no less susceptible to the dreaded engine mananagment "repair needed" warning. 26000 miles on the clock, car driven daily and pop it decides to fail on me. Since I once owned a Mk1 156 that constantly broke down I purchased an obd bluetooth conectable reader(£10)..so..Under...
I think that dealer's really are not race brake prepared. The known problems revolve around component change. The majority of internet chatter on these brakes appears to point to a higher level of maintenance required. Thry are designed to haul the car back from great speed quickly..They appear...
Mate of mine has run scoobies for years. His Brembos all squealed. He used to have a shim in them changed or copper greased i think.. I'm sure the Brembos on the 406 coupe did the same.. If my R does it now I will have to try and claim on my extended warranty.. After that its get dirty with them...
Driving home tonight in my R, I had to blow the horn to move a duck out of the road. I have the lights on because they are on auto and i noticed that when the horn was pressed twice in fast sucession my lights flashed... How cool is that..I have the standard fit vision pack HIDs which, by the...
By default , I have discovered that the trip counter has a limit. I reset counter 1 when I bought my R.. and this has stopped counting. This is the pic..Nothing amazing but interesting non the less...

I have posted earler in the thread but a discription of my noise is very similar to the Tie fighters in Star Wars... bit wierd referencing it to that...but it is very similar. Happens to my R first junction of the day.. Usually never here it after that..
