I dont agree with some of your last quote RCZ1 :eusa-think: but apology offered :D
Jassy. This is the best car that I have ever owned and most likely the best car that I will ever own. Call it my mid life crisis car if you like. My previous three cars were Green, Blue and Silver coloured and I had decided that white was next as it had been a long time since my last one which was a Vauxhall Belmont so that dates it, as they re branded them Astras after that. My decision for white was made long before white was back in fashion. I chose Pearl White for my RCZ because I liked the look of it and for no other reason. I may have chosen Amber Red for Pearl2 but was unable to get my favourite lady to see one in the flesh before I needed to place the order. So another Pearl it was.
We always have the crack over colour on this forum and bee has been around here long enough that he knows that is all in jest. With regard to the Media Package I genuinely believe that the visual effect that it has in the cab and the extra features it brings makes it a very desirable addition. I will maintain this view to my last breath and it has nothing whatsoever to do with price. It is a lot of money but when you are buying a quality car then it is not a huge difference to find the extra £1500 or so. Lets face it my first RCZ went because it did not have the vision pack as it should have. That decision cost me, but I believe that compromise when buying will lead to dissatisfaction later. So push the boat out from the start and love your purchase thereafter. Nothing to do with snobbery or anything else it is purely a case of spending wisely.
You will change your car long before I do because at the time you was unable to purchase the car that you really wanted and the compromise that you made has not given you the car that you desire. Hopefully you will get the one that you really want soon and feel the joy in your car as I do with Pearl2

Personaly i think the Veloster is a wicked looking car, especially in that yellow colour.

Ps, lets not go off the rails with people bragging about their money, i hate a brag, this thread is about the Veloster and not someones bank balance or ego.

Why in the TV ad is the coupé side shown all the time, and, in the final bit (when the rest of the ad has shown the two doors on the left or near or passenger side RHD car) is the car suddenly a LHD one with the two door on the right or offside :?:

If you think I am joking, watch the TV ad, 1st time we saw it, it was :eusa-think: "did I see that correctly", second time it was

Personaly i think the Veloster is a interesting looking car but not my cup of tea...once up close it felt tinny and the dash and interior is made from that rock hard plastic that the Koreans seem to make a design feature. The one I drove was SLOW. I cant imagine how different that would feel to an HDi RCZ with all it's torque.

Drove past my local Hyundai garage today to see a bright yellow Veloster in prime position outside. Only saw it side on but it certainly had a sporty look to it. I have to say, the more I see it, the more I like it.

I love the whole glass roof on it and the way it seems to wrap around to the windows at the side.

Can't understand swapping an RCZ for one , if bee fancied a unique RCZ he/she could have had one wrapped in any colour going for a lot less than buying a new car and then really stood out from the crowd :p

Apparently there is already talk of £1500 discounts on them when it's only just being launched......

bee has a very good reason for parting with the RCZ in favour of a different car. They are not comparable cars.... but that is the whole point.

Auto E-bid reckon on 1500 - 1600 off on the top spec models as do Broadspeed.

Ron - why did bee want to change ? ( please don't reply If it is a private reason  ) I read that bee wanted a different colour range which could have been done with a wrap and HDi auto....the veloster is a petrol auto and you can get an RCZ in petrol auto too.

I know the reason because we had a discussion via private messaging, so I had better not answer that as bee may consider it to be private. Colour and/or transmission did not come into the equation.

I think it's a horrible looking car. No definition whatsoever and just looks like any other family hatchback. And I wouldn't be driving a car that's named after some pond life anyway. All imho of course. :p
