Well if you are have a better one than i did...........it was worst holiday for several reasons i have ever had.
1.didnt get the type of room i paid for..deluxe sea view/pool view room, ended up with a standard garden view room, all down to the holiday company= Holidaygems.co.uk their fault........letter reclaiming the room difference is in the post.

2.l had chronic Egyptian Tummy for 9 days combine that with 45 degree heat it drained me badly.

3.The hotel was so very quiet too quiet.

Best part. I went Quad Biking in the Sinia Desert just at sunset/dust with a full moon present in the sky......Its a sight that i will cherish for the rest of my life,we didnt do convoy style like all the others, their where only 3 of us and a guide, so the speed and rules where kinda forgotton about     Too fast Too furious.......

Awww maaaaaan!!! That's not what I'd expected to hear at all!! If the hotel was so quiet couldn't they have just upgraded your room?! That's shocking on the part of the company you booked through. I think I'd have been so mad that I'd have forced them to do something about it their and then...and still sought compensation on my return!!! :-x:-x:-x However, the quad bike experience sounds truly epic!

Did you all get struck down with stomach upsets? How did the lovely Avril and her daughter fare?

No real trips for us this summer. To be honest, we can't afford it. We have weddings every other weekend (number 2 of the summer at Innes House in Elgin this weekend) and one of which is my bro in law's. We are also imminently expecting the arrival of a niece or nephew from Jen's sis in Uddingston and we have Jen's Mum and Dad's ruby wedding anniversary. All of these come with associated costs, gifts etc. Humph.

Rizz I went BERSERK on arrival.............It was only for Avril that i calmed down for......the hotel was less than half full, they didnt get the 2ND accomdation info from the holiday company, they messed it up the first time sending me out a document saying standard garden room, this was then resolved and new deluxe room docs came through the post, but the holiday company never sent them to the hotel in Egypt,l was the only one with the trots...........

Ah its that time in your life when Family's are forming/Big Annieversary's occur.. in-laws increase........Expensive mate very,Avril is the darkest white woman in scotland mate Chocolate the posing git she is  Normally when i come home a holiday i want to go straight back not this time but Avril does

Am too Busy looking at upgrading my home cinema sound system.............Time for more Poweeer

That is pretty horrific. I hope those spectators survived and did not suffer too bad injuries, though it doesn't loook too promising!

Finally we know why the RCZ-designers created the double-bubble: to keep the bikini-girls centred for photos...

So those of you that know me, know that I am not technically astute. I use a laptop and have a wireless BT hub that drives it. I maybe in a situation were I am away from home for a fortnight at a time. Not wishing to be "off air" for that period of time, I was wondering what my options are. Do I invest in something that will operate from a truck? do I take my laptop and if so how will I drive it? All information greatly received.

First thought is an iPad or phone or Asus fonepad (like an iPad mini) but you will need a sim card for a data tariff and money to buy it.

Or if you take your lap top then you need mobile broadband solution. £10 a month for 1gb from 3 mobile.

Although most hotels have free wifi available as do most service areas.

Lots of options available - as my OH says :)

Not really happy about about telephone options as the screens are far too small for me. What would 1GB give me? I have no idea. Would that keep me on air for 3 or 4 hours per day? It would be from a sleeper cab and not necessarily parked up in a service area.
