Well Jass it's been nice knowing you because if Avril sees that post you're a dead man. That or you're going to be the British Bobbit.:lol::lol:

Actually went to scope out the ST yesterday but they don't have any in the showroom. Apparently the second they come in they get snapped up. The manager has a white ST3 estate with all the toys but wasn't in yesterday. That said, I'm not really bothered about seeing the estate version. I am, however, test driving the new Golf GTI on Thursday with a mate. He really wants the GTD but they aren't getting any until middle of the month. Will report back on it.

Also looked at the new 500L on Jen's request...NOT for me I stress. I have no words for how utterly terrible it is!!! It's absolutely huge...and uglier than Mo Mowlam beaten in the face with a brick. Hateful looking thing. Once again, I was struck by the salesman's utter lack of knowledge. I knew more than he did about the trim levels, range of engines etc. Every question I asked he had to refer to a brochure to answer. Poor show. Apparently an even bigger version is to be released this year too. Can you guess what they've "imaginatively" called it...?! Yup, you guessed it, the 500XL. :face-palm: Jen is really waiting to see what the 500X looks like and how practical it is but the salesman hadn't even heard of it. Do these guys even have an interest in cars?!?!

Was quite impressed by the Vauxhall Mokka however. Didn't expect to be but it was kinda cool in the metal. Again, not something we are actually considering but had a good nosey at it. Possibly so impressed having just been looking at Mo Mowlam's mutant sister.

So...the piece de resistance was the Jag F-Type...oh...my...word!!! That car is something special...REALLY special. I attended the launch event for it a couple of weeks back and sat in it...honestly...it's breathtaking! However, took a white one (far from its best colour) out for a spin. Oh...my...I actually almost creamed myself in the very luxurious leather seats. The noise :D...the drama ...the looks ...the looks that the noise draws ;)...the looks that the looks draw :cool:...the acceleration...the noise under acceleration...the noise under braking...the handling and cornering...oh and did I mention the noise?! :p Seriously google it!!! This car has won me round in such a way that I can't describe. If only I could afford to buy one I'd have signed for it yesterday. In fact, if they'd allowed it, I'd have signed my soul over for it. Seriously folks, this car is TRULY AMAZING!!!! I WANT ONE...I WANT ONE NOW!!!!

I'm a year and 2 months into my RCZ so this time next year I'll be looking for either a 4 series coupe 2 series coupe or golf GTI. my French flirtation will give way till another Germanic one. Those F type jags are so cool but they've gone up from projected 45 grand to over 65 just to much pitty if they'd been 45 they wouldn't be able to make them quick enough.

The base model has an OTR price of £58,520 right up to the S model which has an OTR of just shy of £80K!!!:shock::shock: However, Aberdeen is a law unto itself and the dealership informs me that they're taking significant orders every week...sadly for me, I wasn't one of them!

I'm expecting a launch event invitation to for the 4C but my nearest dealerships are Perth and Edinburgh which are 1.5hrs and 2hrs respectively. Don't think I'll bother attending the launch event but I may try to get a test drive when I'm in Edinburgh after its release. Still outta my price range and totally impractical so gotta even count it out as a used car option but I just love it.

Jass, never mind hairless elsewhere, Avril may have your actual scalp lol! So, assuming you survive the next few days before you travel, have a fantastic holiday mate :D Getting away from our unpredictable climate, especially after the prang, will do you the world of good  Just don't offer to 'detail' any of that other bodywork you mention!...

Rizz, I've yet to see (let alone hear!) the F Type in the flesh but you've sold me already! Seen pics and it looks fantastic on the TV ad. If you hear of any bank jobs in the N.E. followed by a police sting operation at a Jag dealer and my sudden disappearance from the forum you'll know where to find me I'll be living at Her Majesty's Pleasure!

Mac l thought you've had the Z longer :wtf: 14 months, Rizz  Jag F type :eusa-think: :eusa-think: :eusa-think: Love the the look OF the car accept for the arse its toooo thin :eusa-think: and therefore puts the car's overall balance out......In my honest opinion :)

As for the front of the car sooooooooo uber  But i think its toooooooooo much like a Maseratti :eusa-think:

And therefore i would take the Maserati before the F Type :) As the maserati is really a Ferarri as you well know Matt

As my good wife is now officially on holiday for 7 weeks and 1 day (a full 8 days before myself):(, I am going to order one of these to make MY breakfast while drying my hair with a turbine engine powered hair dryer. That, I believe, is "love"...right?!
