When I had my service done I had fun and games.
Was quoted £89 for oil and filter change, I thought that as this was all that was required to complete the 2nd year service, but no that's all they changed.
They didn't stamp the book or reset the service indicator.
To bring it up to a second year service where they check the computers and take the wheels off to check brakes etc the service manager said that they could do it for £75.

Fortunately I had a call from Peugeot UK HQ about my collapsed jacking point and I asked about what they had done bearing in mind that I had gone in to book a 2nd year service and they changed it to only an oil and filter change and that I was also out of work so the extra £75 was a lot particularly on jsa.
Peugeot UK HQ said that as the jacking point issue has been on going for a while they would cover the cost as a goodwill gesture to bring it up to 2nd year service standard.

Brilliant from Peugeot UK HQ, but unfortunately the dealerships are letting the side down.

Thacker, my dealer is JCT600 in Hull. I would suggest you still give them a try as they do seem to be cheaper than most places. I'm sure my 2 year service on my last Z was still cheaper than yours that you have now been quoted for.[/quote

Thanks for the heads up, I chose to go with the previous mentioned garage as they are a lot nearer, but I'll keep your dealer in mind for next time. I'm booked in towards the end of September so I'll report back with my findings. Cheers

Just booked my car in for its second service. I have a service plan with the dealer, I pay £569 over three years, and this covers 2nd 3rd and 4th services. I also get 25% off MOT's when it's due, and 10% off any other work or parts, tyres etc during the life of the service plan.

BUT when I called to book the car in, they wanted to charge me £29.95 to do a full engine flush, extra to the pre-paid service! The car is just 2 years old next month, and has only done 19000 miles. Why would I need a full engine flush?

I politely said no, unless anyone on here thinks it's a necessity to have that done every year :eusa-think:

It's not required and I never had it on my last 2 Z's which had done more miles than yours has. They offer different things each time you take your car in for a service. I weigh them up and say yay or nah depending on if I think it's warranted.

So, when I took out my service plan, I was told all the servicing costs would be covered, only "extra" work required would need to be paid for.
So the car has been in today for its 2nd Service (1st one on the service plan).
As I posted above, they again tried to get me to pay them @£30 for an engine flush, they also told me that I needed to have my brake fluid changed for @ £40. They then tried to sell me two tyres for £408 that I have now bought from Tyreleader for £256.
They have now told me my tracking will need doing when I have the tyres fitted by them (I chose them to fit them for obvious reasons) and the tyre fitting will be £24 for 2 tyres, and £35 for the tracking.

I just don't understand why people think main dealers try to rip them off wherever possible :wtf:

Also, while I'm on my soap box,

I gave them 3 issue to look at. Oils usage, Washer bottle leak, and Sat Nav losing GPS.

They did sort the sat nav (or so it seems at the moment, fingers crossed)

As for the Oil usage, they simply did an oil change, and said everything looked OK, despite me telling them it had used almost a full dipstick amount since 21st June when it was filled to top.
They said the washer bottle wasn't a sealed system, and I was probably losing some from the filler cap when I cornered :wtf:
I know I do tend to corner fairly rapidly but, REALLY!, I have managed to lose the full corrugated neck full of fluid over night.

It's going back in either tomorrow or Friday for tyres fitting, so I am not going to use the washers before then, and I will see what it's like when I take it in. I suspect it will have all disappeared again. Interesting to see what explanation they will come up with for that :eusa-think:

O.K just back from getting the car serviced for it's 2nd year. I'm extremely happy to report everything went very well. I was warmly greeted, then left to my own devices while they went work. The coffee machine was very good and easy to use and surroundings clean and tidy with free wi-fi. I was able to use the money off voucher from my Peugeot. The car came back to me as I left it, all checks done service book stamped job done. Total cost £125.16 all in. The dealership was Peter Ambrose at Castleford. Linda the service manager was on the button and knows her stuff.
A refreshing experience. I will use them again.

That's awesome service...and pricing! Wish I lived closer! That's way cheaper than the £305-350 I've been quoted by my local dealers for my 3rd year service  :x I could even make the trip down and still be quids in even with the cost of petrol for the round trip! Bloody rip off up here in Newcastle...

So, for anyone who has not seen my other posts, the Sat Nav was NOT sorted, and ended up going in twice more for diagnostics and eventually a new GPS aerial fitting foc under warranty. The washer bottle issue was also discovered to be a leaking headlight washer, which was also replaced under warranty.
Shame I had to keep badgering the dealer to get the issues sorted though, otherwise I would have just been fobbed off with excuses.

do you have a GTi aswell? That price is insane. for full service you can buy all original service parts for around £170. :eusa-whistle:

Hi
Yes I have a 2015 GTI Prestige, bought new. Just recently had my RCZ serviced at a local garage. as it is now out of warranty. I supplied Peugeot parts, total cost £163.29, would have been £133 if I had supplied Peugeot filter. Went for KN filter, noticeable difference over standard. The labour charge which is included was £90. I know warranty is not affected providing Peugeot parts are used but the Peugeot stamp is important to some people during warranty and beyond.

I posted about my GTi as the engine is the same as the RCZ ? So I should not have been surprised by the pricing. However I found out I can purchase a service plan up to a year after first reg. So rang around and was quoted by a couple of dealers around £650 for a 3 yr plan. Checked Peugeot website and its cheaper, phoned Peugeot and was told to contact dealer. They knew nothing about the plan, so had to get Peugeot to phone them and explain. Back to the dealer, a lot of head scratching, computer searching and finally a 3 yr plan for £435. Result. It turns out the dealers will sell their own plan rather the Peugeots.
