To be totally honest I'm a bit thrown why this started, and why only me, :!: Got my thoughts though. :eusa-think:

In my opinion I think one party is more at fault than the other but believe it would be wrong for me to say more than that publicly.

Well done and thank you Jactac for being willing and able to walk away.

I'm not entirely certain if that's intended for me or not. I'm afraid that I'm viewing on Tapatalk and have restricted it to a small number of posts per page and didn't see your post between my own and Jactac's. However, thank you for having the good grace to apologise. So...done yeah? Let's all share and feel the love again...

Constructive as ever RON. Perhaps it would be advisable to read all my posts and remarks before rushing to snap judgements and selecting particular posts. That way you will note that BOTH parties were thanked. I'm a bit disheartened and disappointed with that particular remark.

...That car was capable of over a hundred miles per hour.......... way back in the Seventies

If I remember correctly my very first car was also capable of 100 miles.

Not in one hour, though.

No, deadly serious jactac. A moderator is there to moderate and mediate and never to dictate To be impartial and even handed as well as to keep ones personal opinions on a situation private. Where as I am a mere member and can take sides as I will not be called upon to make a judgement.

I joined this forum because it seemed such a friendly place......
and so it is. However, what tends to happen is that some of us older members are quite familiar with each other and perhaps say things that one wouldn't to a newbie. I can see looking in from the outside, not knowing the history between the members it can be misread. We are here voluntarily and stay because we like it and the handbags are amusing. Stick around and get stuck in, it informative, light hearted and fun. But we are way off topic and should stop this

Ok...right. I left that to run its course and let all sides have their say. I'm all for a bit of banter and some well intentioned "niggle" (which I think we saw at times) but there's neither a place nor point in ANYONE getting personal. Everyone's views are equally valid and deserve to be heard but, in all honesty, I feel that some of the remarks being made are unfair and strike me as undeserved when taken in the context of this thread. I'm not going to say anything more on this and hope that things are left here as both sides have aired their views. Please don't force me or any other member of the admin/moderating team to take further action but if this continues then I'm afraid that I will lock this thread. Fair enough?

Oh Rizz, I love it when you get all manly!!!

So what are the contenders to replace yours when the time comes Donna? (Mine are the Focus ST3 or new A-Class AMG...as it stands)

Yep, for me the A Class AMG Sport (2.2 diesel, sorry) is right up there in the contenders ...as would be the Evoque but a bit out of my price range and as for the 3rd that takes my fancy, I couldn't possibly say in public for feel of being slated/disowned/defriended. You get my drift........
