RCZ,...A girls only car?

After purchasing my RCZ today, a lot of my male mates were teasing me saying they like it however wouldn't own one as its too girly...whats your thoughts? I previously owned a Tigra and had the same response. Oh and I am a girl lol

The white ones with black onyx solstice spinners are about as least "girly" as you can get imho. Some of the bog standard ones in some colours do look a bit feminine, but nowhere near as bad as a Tigra or Ford Ka (Street Ka esp.) which are definite "girls" cars.

And seeing as you have posted this in the 'members gallery' forum, are you not missing some pics from your post? :eusa-think:

I wouldn't totally disagree, that "standard ones in some colours do look a bit feminine" Is there a problem with this being so ?

Well Ron that depends if you're the sort of person that cares what other people think! Sadly these days a lot of people do. Me, I'd quite happily drive a Micra, Tigra, Ka, 'feminine' coloured RCZ etc, although I would draw the line at a bright pink one like some of those Fiat 500s I've seen! :lol: Strangely enough I think that the TT and MGFs are proper 'hair-dressers' cars if I see a bloke driving one, but yet a bloke in an RCZ seems acceptable somehow. :? Weird huh. :crazy:

Lisa T, welcome to the forum. Always good to welcome another fellow female member.

Don't worry what the guys say, they are probably just jealous :eusa-think:

My last car was a Tigra convertible, so I know where you are coming from. What colour was yours and give us some more details on your RCZ, spec, colour, etc.

RCZ = unisex

Tell your male mates they should not aspire to a new 911 either as more women than men drive one. ;)

Personally I dont think so. I have a Nero Black RCZ with grey anthra alloys and it has a very bull dog like stance. The dimensions of it, low and wide, definitely make it look menacing in my opinion. I dont think you can comment until you actually own one and walk up to it in a car park after work, or coming out of Tesco and just seeing it in the distance, you get closer knowing and it looks even more beautiful and it is yours. When you own it, you know. - I cant stop smiling every time I see it. (and drive it)

Careful lads. If you remember Richard Hammond drove a Tigra on Top Gear and totally loved it. It's a great little car ad looks good to boot :thumbup: I'm no hairdresser either :D

Well, I have my own opinion on this, and for me the RCZ is a car for whoever has a well developed sense of good taste and appreciation of beauty and also of an understated form of art, and that certainly makes it for both sexes in equal measure, it has got a beautiful body with lost of curves in the right places (feminine) and also has got the poised of and aggresive big cat ready to pounce on his prey (strenght and masculinity), it is a car that awakes all sort of senses, inside and out, I know and probably everyone here knows that it is not a thorouhbred racer with lots of "POWER" (as Jeremy Clarkson would say), but more than enough and adecuate for everyday use in all sort of situations for most of us mortals. It is a car for whoever has a sense of maturity and security that does away with product labeling. It is not a track car in terms of perfomance and it could have been a little more technologicaly advance in terms of suspension set up, but for the price you get a lot of car for your money and I see myself very confortable seeing a lady or a man behind the wheel of an RCZ. and lets face it, this a pretty damned sexy car for women and men.

Also, Bedford Autodrome had a gang of RCZs available for a track evening at the event some of us were lucky enough to win tickets to lat year. They were gt 200s & the only mods I could spot were AP calipers and discs, tyres plus a second brake pedal in the passenger footwe for the instructors to use.
