The 911's roof profile predates the TT and I rather suspect that the TT got it's inspiration there... Nothing is truly new in car design ;)

How can it be? Computers and wind tunnels are surely going to produce similar results. Gone are the days of man with ideas and a pencil and paper

Of all the other sports cars the current model Porsche Cayman must be the most similar to the RCZ.
It also has this well defined rear end and similar roof line.
It is the Porsche to have because it is mid engined so has much better weight distribution by design than the 911 which is like these modern fighter jets that require computers to stay in air.

I like the cayman, but I want my next car to be a convertible, and Im not sure about the looks of a convertible cayman.

It does have some similarities to the RCZ, but I dont think they would be confused with each other.

The latest Cayman MY2013 is the only one i would consider buying cause the older ones are horrific looking. Then again the new ones are too expensive so it's not really an option eitherway :D

If i'd find a cheap(er) 997 Carrera S i would so buy it. But that's also very unlikely still.

Personally I think that Porsche are trying too hard with the Spyder to emulate the RCZ
