Well, this is very disappointing indeed. I thought the weight of 1280kg was something wonderful. Alas, this is not the case, in fact it's not even close. The real weight is 1404kg. This is a kick in the guts for every bona fide enthusiast. Peugeot may as well throw a 124kg slab of granite into the R and enjoy all the performance degradation it entails. I mean, wtf, how can such a mistake even happen? This makes the R only a little lighter than my Focus RS, and now I wonder if it's worthwhile getting the R at all. To me, the weight of 1280kg expressed a very serious intent and now that has been dashed. I realize the R still has cool things like the aluminium hub to keep the weight down, nevertheless, an error of 124kg is simply inexcusable. I really thought a Peugeot Sport developed 1280kg coupe, with a 270hp from a 1.6 litre engine was something special.
