Recently I’ve bought the peugeot rcz 2012 thp 156 on an auction on ebay. The previous owner stated that there is an oil leak. After getting home, I looked for it , and found it at the back of the engine, drivers side. The oil leak is major, and has left a puddle on the ground . This oil leak is present when the car is stationary, and hasn’t been turned on. It also smells like burning oil when the car is driven, and I think it’s from the oil dripping on hot engine parts. I have checked the oil sump gasket , and also the plug, and it’s neither of them. it seems to be coming from above , to the right (if looking at the engine from the front of the car) I’m currently 16, and bought this car as my first car, and I am trying to fix this car to have it as my first. Does anybody know what could be a cause of this? On the service history , it also says that the rocker cover gasket has been changed 10,000 miles ago , and the oil filter housing seals changed out at about the same time as the rocker cover gasket. I also decided to run an OBD scan on the car , and got a P000A error code . I found that the turbo air intake pipe was snapped off, and fixed that , but that hasn’t fixed the check engine light. Below is the attached photo of the engine , and the underneath , and circled is the area where there is fresh oil dripping off the object. Can anybody help me?
