Hi All

My build date for "Great White" was for the 11th. Nov, but the dealer confirmed the 6th November just this morning. Still have no deliver date though.... Have to wait for the call to come through!

Great news, Bugia. At least you know Great White is built and started its journey to you. Keep us posted and don't forget to post a pic once it arrives  .

Ordered our RCZ on 24th Aug'10. Our build date was Fri 22nd Oct & we were told it would take 6 days to build. Mon 1st Nov we got call from dealer to say the car had arrived in the country, & on Thurs 4th Nov our car arrived at the dealership & we went over to see it.

Our unofficial pickup date is around 19th Nov, providing the number transfer completes ok. This will mean from order to pick will be just short of 3 months!

ordered my car (pearl white GT200HP blck leather, sat nav, vision and JPL packs) on 8th Nov..been told build is february and delivery 24th March :-( a leadtime of 5 months) also friend who works in a dealer said no more orders for pearl white being accepted . Maybe demand is outstripping supply ??

That's disappointing Adrian. I'm a glass half full man and I would expect these to dates to be advanced as the weeks go on. Why refuse orders for a specific colour? Surely it's only a delay in the paint supply that would cause this issue?

My car is sending me loads of love and kisses from Calais already! Or is it the DVLA?.................the Reg No is KX60XXZ. 3 kisses

Has anyone noticed how cheap the insurance is? Albeit I am over 50 and with 9 years NCB but I can't believe how low the quotes I'm getting are

I've just rang my insurance to get a quote on what extra I'll need to pay - not as much as I thought so that's good! And considering the car tax will be cheaper than my RAV4 then I'm well chuffed that such a classy car isnt going to be any more expensive to run!!

My insurance company (AXA) had never heard of the RCZ and I think they just plucked a figure out of the ether. I had to stump up an extra £105 for the rest of the year but my broker's assured me they'll get much cheaper quotes next year as they cover around a dozen companies.

It cost me an extra £70 to swop to the RCZ from my IQ, that's with 7 months remaining and I only paid £160 for the full year on the IQ in the first place, so I expect the full year to be pretty reasonable for the RCZ.
