Hi' all :greetings-wavingblue:
...well .the big blue quickly stopped dancing like its 1999 once the cheque to reimburse me arrived through my letterbox from the dealer :eusa-think: ,,they've made a mistake !
The amount on the cheque was for the component and labour only ,,WHAT about the £56 diagnostic I had to have in order for them to confirm the faulty "ENGINE TEMPERATURE SWITCH" that every Forum member had already diagnosed FREE OF CHARGE !!
The dealer advised me that the cost for the "diagnostic" that they carried out to confirm the fault would not be reimbursed as they had not been authorised by Peugeot to do so
A frantic phone call to Peugeot Customer Services confirmed this 'scandalous fact' which of course I had to accept! HOWEVER, such a penny pinching tactic by 'Peugeot' came as a shock as I had been led to believe when told that that I would be reimbursed meant the full cost in the same way that previous warranty repair work/s (albeit via a third party warranty company) had reimbursed the Component, Labour AND the stipulated Diagnostic !! ...SHAME ON YOU, SHAME ON YOU, SHAME ON YOU
At least Peugeot reimbursed me the majority of the cost albeit I would have expected the sum to be the FULL amount that I was required to pay up front to their dealer !
.the big blue (..I ask that Forum members stand and appropriately sulute Peugeot for their customer service ethic which was good BUT could have been better ! :eusa-shhh:
