So Mr Rizz is it my understanding that on a school day, you have been educating our future generation whilst under the influence of the liquid of the devil ? Or do schools not open on Fridays in Scotland :) lol

   Don't worry RCZ1 I have not been shaping/corrupting innocent minds of future generations while under the influence. It's an in service day today so no work for me today...or incidentally Monday as it's a local holiday. Although, curiously, it was a school themed night out for Fresher's week up here so there were plenty of young minds corrupting themselves last night!! I was getting some training in ahead of my brother's stagger.

Is it a good time to also mention that in 3 weeks i will be off for a fortnight's holiday for the October/Tattie holidays? What can i say, life is tough... ;)

   RON!! I dunno...I got up and made her some bacon rolls for brekkie so that surely makes up for everything. That said, that's about all I've managed to do today.

Before I trail through 5 pages of posts I've missed .... has NUMBER PLATE been mentioned???

MR12ZLE - DVLA has it for £799, Newreg for £595 :auto-car: :auto-car:

....stick it on retention - or your motability scooter!

I had 2 things on my list in the year before I turned 30.

- Getting myself a girlfriend
OR
- Buying a RCZ

But since my parents in law couldn't get any children...

It hadn't and that's a great find Donna. I had, in the past, tried a variety of connotations for MRizzle, Matt, my initials (MJR - major), my surname etc. the best I had managed to unearth before your suggestion was MR11ZLE. Yours is better...maybe I could ask for a new style RCZ to accompany it...? :D

Hahaha!! I like it. I'm totally with you in the closing remark. Great work!!

For me; Marriage - 'tick',
RCZ/highly unpractical and non-family friend motor - 'tick'! :D

In this day and age and the way things are a private plate is a large indulgence though there ain't no recession in Aberdeen but even winning the lottery and buying an aventador l would still stick with the original plate l just don't believe in private plates l saw a white McLaren today and it had its original 12 plate good on him l thought no ponsy private plate some of them border on the need for a egyptologist to decipher what they relate to and some of them look really good especially on a cracking car but not for me why have the government ream you for even more money.

I got my private plate 10 years ago before the recession and it wasn't that expensive (cheaper than a holiday to Sharm El Sheikh) ;)

Touché rcz1 l just don't do private plates the car l drive at any given point in time makes a statement enough for me there is also the fact that your car with with personal plate can be pin pointed out for negative reasons as well.

Here comes the ponsy private plate posse brigade after jassy Sundance.... which is more or less the whole forum.... :?

Nope...just me! I would draw a line in the sand about what I'd be willing to pay and what I'd buy. The smartest plates are, in my opinion, the ones that are less than the standard issue 7 characters but most of them cost and absolute mint so they're out for me.

It's more about personalising your car, like you do with dealer options, to make it your own. Private plates are everywhere these days, not like a few years ago when they were mostly owned by wealthy people. People don't really bat an eyelid at them these days. I've never had any adverse reactions or the like, in fact quite the opposite.

My plate was a present for a 'milestone' birthday...16 years ago. Some what rarer back then!! Think it cost my folks £500+vat .... '1' being a premium number. I really wanted H1DLH but it was £10k! My dad then went on to buy J1DKH :) I wouldn't be without my plate, it's priceless to me.

Think of a reg as a present you'll never lose, never wear out, never date.....

I don't see that a private plate is "ponsy" It is merely another way of personalising your car. There were six white RCZ's at the recent "meet" and not two alike. People do like to personalise their cars and the RCZ is no exception to this.
