I bet your neighbours actually think they are living in Syria right now then!!! Starky, I love it. Well played sir!! However, how on earth have you managed to retain the bachelor lifestyle for this long?! A good man like you must be beating the women from your door. Mind you, perhaps they here the digital gunfire and run....
hmmm there could be a point there, maybe this is the reason why my ex wife is exactly that, too many gadgets and a man cave, might not be the best idea to add to your bucket list sir ;)

Hang on...I got the car by agreeing that my next car would be suitable for us as a family. I was ok with that. Now the challenge is to see if I can hold onto one car longer than any other man in history.

However, what concession will I have to make for a man cave?!?! A...gulp...nursery?!

I thought Iron Man was fearless?!?! Oh you'll be safe enough...although she is a PE teacher so may be able to outrun you. I'll say nada to ensure your safe travel and continued limb function.

Well rizz its food for thought mate l have my install in the bedroom and used only at the weekend l don't do fitba.....LOL just some tv and movies and the movie choices are shared and viewed by me and avril she likes it too oh l have just preordered Prometheus and resident evil 6 ps3 due October 2nd as for projection system's great in huge room's where movies can be viewed at distance but it would need to be a extremely expensive one to show anywhere near the picture detail of a high end tv as for 3d WTF going on there god damn awfull best avoided like a plague.

My point being it doesnt have to be a man cave some romcoms are ok LOL

Fully agree with the 3D stuff, wouldn't go near it with a barge poll, should be left to the cinema!!!
My room with projector is 25ft long, I say spot on for viewing, saying that if it was double that size I could increase the viewing screen too 300"!!
Also agree you need to have a good one, at least 1080p and HD a must, paid £1700 for my Sony brava and I'd say it's a great picture if not better than the 55" back lit tv in living room ;)

The word backlit is very loosely used with tv manufacturers and 9/10 they are edgelit all Samsungs and Font LOL
25 ft 120 inch screen seems perfect

I find the back light looks better than my LCD in bedroom where the light comes from the sides, oh and I buy nothing unless it has a Sony badge on it ;)

You mean Fony....LOL back in the day they where great l have had a half dozen maybe even more Sony tv all top of the range then came the ps3 and Sony shoved all tv research to one side and all Korean tv maker's caught up and have now overtaken Fony wouldn't buy them again up until recently all Sony TVs are edgelit only and l mean in overtly priced high range Sony tvs  you may just find a FULL backlit led tv ie where he full screen area uses LEDs to encompass local dimming.

Technical debate here may be a little beyond my comprehension but it has been my understanding that LG actually make pretty much all the component parts for all major manufacturers in this field and they are merely rebranded. I fell out of love with Sony some time ago as I find them to be overpriced and lacking against their market competitors with whom you get far more bang for your buck. I think Sony are rapidly falling out of the marketplace.

A projector is out for me as I don't have the space to make best use of this but I love the idea of it.

I would be sorely tempted by a decent sized backlit full HD LED tv. Not bothered one jot about it having Internet functionality as this is utterly outdated technology and have so many other ways to access this, in a more user friendly format.

I'm also not bothered by 3D technologies as I don't find that they add anything (someone is bound to respond, "I think you'll find they add a third dimension" ) and, personally, I don't even bother with films in 3D at the cinema. I watched some footie at a mate's in 3D and was not impressed. I'm a BIG football fan and found the camera angles were horrendous. It did more to destroy my enjoyment than it did add to it.

Not terribly certain of the best surround systems to go for. Pointers would be welcome!

On a separate but badge related note, Starky, I saw a Megane yesterday which was wearing an autobots badge on the rear. It was done horribly by the owner though. Was going to try and take a pic but was at the Haudigan and next to a police car so thought better of it.

That horrible rusty orange coloured one? I can't believe how badly they had applied the badge. Mind you, if they chose that colour them their mental capacity is up for debate from the off...

I was behind a Luton van yesterday, also with an orange autobots badge.
