It would appear that there is a trend for this then...?!?! I reckon there needs to be a decepticon one mulling about to put the robots amongst the pigeons... :eusa-think:

Thanks Scott...it had taken rather an I topic twist. I'm ok with that. Para wings...hmmm. That is something that does give me "the fear". I know...wuss, right?! I did a bungee jump of a bridge once and that was probably about as much flinging myself off/out of a thing as I am game for. Have you done this as part of your RAF training?

Never mind the Action man para man stuff thats for testosterone filled macho men  Matt home cinema gear can be cheap and if purchased wisely great value for money never buy new lines of stuff end of line is better as its a Fashionista/tech figure industry new doesnt stuff doesnt mean better 90% of the time and stay away from comet and the likes

there should be a richer sounds shop up in Aberdeen have a look on there websites they sell end of line stuff at great prices for instances my tv was £2,300 when came out richer sounds where selling it for a grand less a year later :( they sell full systems, separates, tvs and the full monty to suit all budgets its a thing all movie buffs like yourself should have i learned the hard way by having systems far more expensive than a new 200gt but that was back in the day when Pioneer and george lucus and THX ruled the blossoming home cinema world in the 90's

AND XMAS aint that far away best purchase a amp and speakers first= £600/700 for a great bass thumping system for a 5x4 spare room kef speakers sat/sub

and STARKY A 7.1 FONY AMP

Then later get yourself a 60" plasma later for less than £900 then you will have a great entry level system    get all the stag and wedding gigs oot the way first

7.1 as much use as 3D at home. Pointless as there isn't much out there(if any) that produces 7.1.
Got enough with 5 speakers as it is anyways :(

Starkly you really should do your homework mate l have a7.1 Sony amp and got some 7.1 dts Dolby .7.1 trueHD bluray discs most new Disney films are 7.1 you really should invest in such an amp with a ideal size room and projector 7.1 really makes the sound 3 dimensional in the surround dept.

Hmmmm I've never been good at doing homework ;)
I know what your saying and I'm sure the sound is awesome but I feel that the very small percentage of full 7.1 out there doesn't make it feasible right now to be spending the money on a sound system that your only going to get the full spec every now and again.
Once 7.1 is common place on all new releases I might just consider a purchase :)

I have a plain all in one Bose Home Entertainment System. This meets all of my requirements. For me at least the sound surround element of it is only 5.1 which for me at least gives an amazing element to film viewing. Its speakers come in rather handy when listening to audio cd's too. The built in hard drive has stored my entire music collection and will continue to do so for many more years to come. They are not cheap but one compact unit better suits my style rather than separate elements as some prefer. I do of course realise that being American it does not cater for digital radio, but I can cope with that. I use it every time that I use the TV as the TV's built in speakers are set to mute. When this does give up the ghost then I think I will opt for a 7.1 system as a lot of my current film collection has that option.

No point in having surround sound in my house- with 3 kids that can't sit still I can't hear a fooking thing anyway.
The other day watching Battleship one of the kids put the subtitles on - I found that a big help!

Bose Corporation was founded in 1964 by Dr. Amar G. Bose, then professor of electrical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, hence my thinking that they are American?

Avenger's Assemble is awesome! You're in for a treat!! I, however, am trying to regain basic motor function after a ridiculously drunken night out. 69p spirits and mixers have proved themselves to be my undoing. Evidently that was a gift from the devil...damn him and his unholy ways. Interestingly, judging by the bruises and shattered state of my body, I may have also unknowingly participated in a cage fight. The state of my body would suggest that I lost. It's a bad sign when it's almost 5pm and I feel like the hangover is worsening. "Oh ma heed...!!!"

It does rather appear to have taken a rather off topic route but I'm totally ok with that.

As for last night's venue, it began with a mixology lesson and the aforementioned devil's priced drinks at a bar called 'Tonik'. I think it should be renamed 'Satan's Tonik'. Never have I spent so little and gotten so utterly blootered. I was dressed to impress and threw the largest shapes in some dance-floor domination. I'm pretty certain that I had invoked the spirit of Michael Jackson in my moves. The dawn of the digital era has (unfortunately) seen many of my "finer" moments captured on camera.

Enjoy your film. Sure Avril will enjoy it. Jen did and she usually mocks my superhero film choice. Have you seen the Spider-Man reboot? I thought it might be a bit dodgy but some pals said it is actually really decent.

So my evenings viewing is a little less super hero but non the less the neighbours will know that I like Tarja by the end of the concert. Filmed at El Círculo Theater in Rosario, Argentina. at the end of March this year.
