So after owning 3 RCZs over a period of 7 years I'm finally moving onto something else. Needless to say if they still made them I would be buying a new one.
I need something that will munch the motorway miles I'm doing these days on my 400 mile round trip to the office .
The RCz has performed...
Timing chain issue sounds like a rattle
A lot of owners will have heard it , unfortunately it's a common issue and will cost about £1000 to replace at a dealer.
Isn't it weird how these things come along like buses after nothing for months
This is the same date as the somerset meet some of the guys are going on.
Poole quay is a good meeting spot though perhaps we could do something later in the summer.
I'm Happy to do a New forest route if anyone's...
So I'm a little bit pissed off.
Car went in for its 36k mile service ( number 7 in the book) and an MOT (car is a 2015)
The garage failed it for having lights too high ( pretty sure they are adjustable and just had to turn the knob) and they had to change one of the windscreen wipers , both...
Reality is they are all pretty rare. I've just come back from a trip to my office, first visit since September.
It's a 480 mile round trip and I didn't see one other RCZ either going or coming back.
Wonder how many Mondeos I past.
Did I dream this or did one of our northern contingent mention a meet up over the summer in Weston Super Mare
If so I'm sure some of the Southern members would try to meet .
Good luck With the project and welcome to the forum
One or two knowledgeable guys on the forum (I'm not one of them I'm afraid) who I'm sure will help you out .
Don't think you can blame poor maintenance either, my car was 4 years old with 30k miles and 5 service stamps in the book when the chain needed replacing
Its just one of the weak points of the 1.6 petrol unfortunately.
Mercury Grey is a great colour although I prefer mine with the black alloys,
Had 2 white ones previously and prefer the grey , easier to keep clean .
Good luck with the car and welcome to the forum.
