There is another engine option - don't discount the the diesel variant still very rapid and economic as well. Try it and see might be cheaper to insure as well.

If you don't want to be messed around next time you can go to their depot at the time they stipulate and have it seen to there. At least this way they can't mess you around.

That's only for cars after July 2012 isn't it? Cars prior to July 2012 are every 20k miles with a interim service for oil and oil filter in the inbetween year.
