You are correct, sir. This is what the R does beautifully. But you can stretch it a bit more and keep that slide. It is nothing like going really sideways. But that sweet swing accompanied by tyre screech had always put a smile on my face.

Talking bout driving techniques, hint of the day: you can swing the R into a light drift when you know how to do it. It has a lively and perfectly balanced chassis. Of course, don't try it at home!

The R has the full metal spiral dip stick. Yes, sometimes it was hard to read the oil level but never an issue on a stone cold engine. When you pull the stick on a cold engine you can clearly see the oil level.

I also was surprised by the batteries going flat that quickly. But then I didn't bother about the occasional warning on the dash as I was checking the pressures regularly. The rears run for ever on the same winter tyres. The hardly wear off.

It is winter time. Tyre pressure drops when car sits in cold compared to pressure saved during warmer period. I had it from time to time while driving in cold. And the battery on the rear winter tyres went as those tyres run for about 5 years without replacing.
