Coil packs do fail, but not on a regular basis. It does sound like the ECU might be behind the issues. But a full diagnostic from Peugeot should really show u- the actual issue. (In theory).
Don’t you just hate it when you’ve washed your car on Christmas Eve & you wake up the next morning to find it covered in Reindeer Sh1t 🤔 😱🎅🏼🤣
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY !!!!
Hi John, welcome to the forum. You should be able to find out most things you need to know on these pages.
The thing is, any car is only worth what your prepared to pay for it. I have seen Z’s going for under £4k which to me is sacrilege (especially when you consider the rear screen is @ £3k on...
Thanks very much, Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to you too. It’s going to be 2020 before any detailing happens round here, not just cos I’m not going to be here, but I think it’s more of a fair weather pursuit.
New year’s eve on the beach is going to be a bit different this year, so...
So, as I am going away in a few days, this might be the final chance for a wash this decade, and I had to make it a quick one, bloomin family coming round, apparently it’s Christmas or something....🤔
I am concerned it’s starting to lose its shine...... good job the parcel from Slims...
I assume they are a modified version, they were replaced under a “notice” from Peugeot, i.e. only replaced if the owner mentions a problem with them, but then they’re done free of charge.
I don’t know if the notice refers to all variants of all models, mine is a 2013 MK II.
At least (in theory) it should be done correctly by you Peugeot dealership.
It might be an idea to suggest you go on a test drove with a mechanic first to point out the noise you think shouldn’t be there. I did this when I got my top suspension mounts changed.
From your description, it does...
No, not necessary. You only need to replace a faulty wheel bearing, not both on the same axle.
There might be those that would say it’s “good practice” to do so, but to me it’s like saying if you replace a damaged tyre you need to do both on that axle. Not necessary.
You should be able to get a wheel bearing replaced almost anywhere. I’m afraid I’m way behind the times with costs, when I had my 405 Labour was @ £20 an hour.
If your car is out of warranty, I wouldn’t go to a main dealer for that doing. Their labour costs are now @ £125 per hour, so even the...
Grinding noise can often indicate a wheel bearing failing. I had several go on an old Peugeot 405, but they were known for it. A wheel bearing can cause the car to pull towards the side of the failing bearing.
The buckled wheel shouldn’t cause it to pull, if it’s bad then maybe steering...
