When both mine came off for a new screen fitting, the auto glass guy didn’t break any either.

The thing about insurance that confuses me is, if you buy a car that has factory options on, you don’t have to tell them it’s been modified, even though the car could have been bought without them, so if you buy a second hand car, how do you know if certain mods were factory options or not?

Also, it’s worth noting that not all insurance companies, and not all modifications affect the price. I would imagine a remap will though.🤔🙁

It’s just a rattle, you should be able to tell if it sounds different when it starts to how it does after running for a while. If your not sure you could post a link to the video on here & someone will be able to advise you.

This new site isn’t as picky as the old one when it comes to photos so you might be ok to just stick them on 🤔

The timing chain and tensioner were changed for the facelift MkII in 2013. An upgraded unit was fitted to those. Any MkI that has had the timing chain & tensioner kit replaced will have had the upgraded unit fitted, so the chances of the issue recurring is very low. If it is a MkI and hasn’t had...

Also the right rear looks like a small stone chip, whereas the one on the left looks more like a stress fracture.

Pretty sure you can’t fix all that with a bsi reset, but if you do a bsi reset correctly, you can’t damage anything, so it’s worth doing just to see if it does anything.

If you can’t fix it with duct tape, your not using enough duct tape 🤔

If you do a quick search on here for double din units you will find that there are members who have completed similar installations and have managed to get everything working. I haven’t done this myself, but I think it might involve buying extra cables. I’m sure someone will be along shortly...

Maybe a long piece of wire with the end bent up like a hook shape?

I’ve kind of gone for a bit of both...
