I'e got an R down here in Melbourne. I love it. I've not driven a regular one to compare. It's hard to find a good R with so few for sale. If your budget can stretch to an R, I reckon they are worth it. Just for the performance and rarity. If not, a 200 HP and maybe stiffen up the suspension if...
I've been told by someone who works for Peugeot Oz that there were only 32 "R's". It was going to be 20, but we got an extra 12. Happy to be corrected if you have any more info. The guy who sold me mine told me there are 3 white ones. I've asked Peugeot but they can't confirm the colour allocation.
Here are some pics. I didn't think to get before pics. The first 2 pics are the front rim. Note: These are diamond cut rims.
The front rim has been sanded back from the "R" logo up toward the top of the rim. About a quarter of the rim. There are a few marks in the clear coat. I'm not sure what...
Wet and dry sandpaper and satin clear coat in a can. My R was delivered to me with severe gutter rash around the outer edge. I thought I'd try sanding it out before paying someone to do it. I was shocked how easy and how well it turned out. Start with about 180 grit, then 400, 800. Even 1200 if...
Ha ha yeah, a tip I got on the RCZ FB group (or maybe on here :)) Put the dipstick horizontally on a piece of paper towel. The oil leaves a mark at the correct level. Level with the bottom edge of upper metal marker. When I got mine it was overfilled. I had to remove about 600 ml of oil to get...
My RCZ was last serviced by the previous owner at a S.A. Pug dealer using Total Ineo 0W-30. So yes it is for sale in Oz and I assume 0W-30 is fine for here.
I mentioned this in another thread that some of you might have missed. My newly purchased black arch "R" had water spotted stains. Quite bad. An excellent detailer here in Melbourne, Australia told me not to cover it up. It's best to remove it. I used Meguiars Ulitmate compound mixed with a tiny...
That was what I as thinking when we tried it. I've used polishes that left horrible residue. This one did not. You can use it on the rubber around the windows, wiper arms. Anywhere. It does not leave residue. I'll get a photo and post it up.
I've just got myself an R version here in Australia. The black plastic covered arches had pretty bad water marks. I went to an excellent detailer here. He said DON'T cover it up. This creates a cycle of endless covering. Remove it. We ended up using a common product from Meguiars called Ultimate...
