I doubt the AA would use Planet, so a correct Peugeot diagnostic test would be advisable.

Jesus, £100 for a diagnostic. Don't you have anyone local with planet you could just have bunged a 4 pack of lager to - to get the same result? If I charged £100 every time I scanned someone's car I'd be rich.

Can you try a new battery? Old batteries cause all sorts of havoc with Peugeots/Citroens.
