We’ve got the Sports cars in the Park meet at Newby Hall Ripon North Yorkshire on Sunday the 7th May if you’re interested?
I were the same as you, had never been to a car meet then bought the RCZ went along to a Yorkshire meet and never looked back! Not the burnouts in Asda car park type of meet...
Obviously all that work hasn’t sorted the original issue and we hear this so often as mechanics get lead down the wrong path with diagnosis and this is why people slag the RCZ off as a money pit!
It could still be something quite simple many issues will bring on limp mode it’s just tracking...
There’s no real harm in having a go yourself if you’re not happy with the result you can always have them professionally refurbed there are even companies that will do it on your drive!
mid you do have a go post some before and after photos for us it may help others in the future
Sorry to hear your dilemma you could vinyl wrap them with a tinted film, this is something some owners do anyway which gives the car a different look this may possibly hide the damage?
Nice one for giving it a go, with the guy on eBay doing a repair service it’s obviously something that can be fixed you just need the parts and the tools 👍🏻
Brilliant, welcome to the club! There are so few good looked after cars about and if your happy that’s all that matters good idea to scan for fault codes too sounds like it’s been well looked after so mileage should be fine don’t get paranoid about the timing chain if it sounds sweet just enjoy...
I went for Aluwerks they’re a bigger offset 45 so have to fit spacers but they’re a great alloy for the money I don’t know if the company would ship to Sweden though
the company can be found on eBay Autowerkx
You can disconnect the coolant level sensor it’s located in the expansion tank and see if the warning message disappears you may have to clear the fault via a scan tool though.
If it is this it’s so easy to replace.
