That's OK, unless you get one that only provides generic codes or can't read one or more of the multitudes of ECUs on the car. I'm sure it will be fine, plenty of people have generic readers and seem happy enough.

What OBD reader did you order? You'll find some are VERY limited on PSA vehicles. The only one that I've used that actually works in any meaningful and useful way is Diagbox with a laptop and interface. Simple ones are ok for retrieving a code, but unfortunately that's probably as much as...

Re: RCZ-R limp home mode. You can buy diagbox separately (or download it for free probably) but I think, although I'm not 100%, on newer operating systems you'll need to run it in a virtual machine. I'm sure mine is vista, and it runs it fine. Sent from my VFD 710 using Tapatalk

I recently had the chain, tensioners and VVT sprockets replaced on my car and no mention was made of any ECU update. Nor is it listed on the receipt.
