As a footnote:
Out of curiosity, and due to the urban myth that you can't buy a jack for the RCZ, I tried to do just that.
To my surprise I was able to place an order and picked up the item today. £35quid
I made the parts guy double check my VIN against the jack as I was surprised by the "C"...
I'm with you mate - believe me.
Who knows why they picked these sizes, but I suspect that its got a lot to do with the front wheel envelope available (bump to rebound, left to right lock). The R is after all has the same body geometry as all RCZs, which are then based on an early iteration of...
Don't get me wrong I don't disagree with what you say. But having one base covered is pointless.
My advise above was to help give right info to owners reading this, not to clarify what PUg UK should or shouldn't do.
If you check my thread here...
This may appear flippant Big Blue, but you buy a performance car - you expect to pay performance prices. Simples
This may be from a mainstream marque selling family hatchbacks, but the R goes quick, stops quick, and goes round corners quick.
So the components will have been spec'd to support...
I don't think the service manual will change - as I don't think its RCZ-R specific.
The service interval instructions are obtained in the dealership service dept when they actually enter your VIN into their system.
They are then able to download/print a single A4 page showing manufacturers...
Hi gents,
Re my oil leak, I don't necessarily think that this is bad design - in this case, or the fact we have a 1.6l pumping out so many gee-gee's. I think in this particular case its a manufacturing fault.
The sump seals on these cars are piped on al a Mary Berry icing a cake. One small gap...
Just phoned my dealer. Said they know nothing about this.
As I am having my oil leak (other thread) being fixed under warranty in 4 weeks time, and having a 1st service at same time, I could do with this sorted too.
Obviously the dealer will only do so if instructed by Peugeot, so as asked above...
Yep, that dipstick sure is a cooky french design. Probably modeled on the Pyramide du Louvre
RCZ's run with 4.25l of finest extra virgin synthetic.
Mine is not a massive leak.
My drive looks like my Triumph Stag has been standing on it - and that's to be expected with a 40yr old car...
My 'R' has had to return to local dealer for another investigation on a minor oil leak. :brickwall:
As before, leak coming from the bottom of engine. Ally block looks OK when I looked under car with mechanic, so its coming from the sump area, but further up than sump plug.
No obvious culprit...
Ah, Dang it. DKZ got there first with the "Beauty", "Eye" and "Beholder" line.
Personally I like the coupe a whole lot more than the convertable.
My B-I-Law had a coupe for a while - got rid for Business Tax reasons.
Did not think they were selling any more of these. Only Convertables on Beemer...
OK, so it seems I am wasting my time here.
Many thanks to the couple of owners who responded here, but lets be honest 2 or 3 owners is going to make absolutely no difference to Peugeot. They will probably laugh at this level of response.
TBH, I was not expecting the outcome of any claim to be...
Re: More crazy Europeans
What the ell am I looking at here.
Have you painted your block paving? Is it a new carpet for your drive? Or some fancy courtesy light bulb unit?
Difficult to tell from the pics anyway.
Personally I would also not wait for 20K (and I know this is also your policy RCZ-R as you've had several oil changes so far :text-bravo: ).
Pug have really sc*wed up with the UK spec 'R's.
As has been mentioned 20,000Km is approx 12500 miles. The firmware needs changing to reflect this...
Can't find the link I was looking for but this was from end of Sept
http://www.carscoops.com/2014/09/peugeot-may-not-follow-up-with-new-rcz.html.
So yep, no new iterations of the RCZ apparently.
I thought the news from a couple of months ago was that they were not updating the RCZ, and that the CEO had stated that they would be concentrating on sporting derivatives of the mainstream cars. I.e 308 R or RS.
I posted a link to this a while a go IIRC (or someone else may have)
Bests wishes and a Happy New Year to all my fellow RCZ owners.
As others have said - may your motoring be trouble free this year
Keep smiling
