stick to your guns on price, a bespoke Halo model car. Looks a very nice example. too many chancers around in what is currently a strong sellers market.
Looking good on eBay and fetching good money!!!
The THP seems prone to chucking out huge amounts of dense exhaust (water) vapour. Wouldn't leave a car on idle for an hour tbh, not doing it any good better to go for a proper drive.
Yep the Dealer Network's are controlling the market certainly for cars up to 5 years of age linked into PCP as 9/10 customers never ever make the balloon payment.
I am a bit jaded as I just don't see the point in PCP deals and renting a new car for 3 odd years paying literally £000s and having...
That's an interesting point about PCP; just thinking whether it sounded the death knell for a lot of car forums and the modding scene given that it appears 98% or thereabouts of all new cars are purchased on PCP deals most young driver's don't seem to buy their first banger it's straight in with...
Check out Pistonheads they have just made the GT86 a 'Pistonhead Hero'.
I like the concept of the GT86 but it is far too expensive for what it is and is underpowered, Yes I know it is about driver connection and handling but it has no real/proper oomph, in the real world 30-80mph driving on B...
Some have fitted Textar pads available from ECP for around £50-60, or as low as £39 on eBay.
Not sure of Textar actual compound etc but German company supply for many OE manufacturers including BMW Porsche etc and the one's that fit the R are made in GB for Alcon 380mm so for the R and also...
Think there are a few Dutch owner's who have been running 300bhp on the stock R for quite a while now.
I agree full speed runs for miles/minutes on end would not be good for heat etc although the internals, block and gearbox should be up to it. I wonder how much was different on the Bimota...
got the definitive from Mtec they say they are not making them
As for warped discs apparently as RCZ-R alludes to above this is a misnomer and it is usually down to pad material on the disc surface not a warping of the disc itself?
I have Brembo calipers on 2 cars and depending on pad...
The corroded pistons are covered in the warranty and several R owner's have had replacement (not refurbed) calipers from Peugeot Warranty claims due to this issue, it's not considered wear and tear. As the piston can damage the discs some have had these replaced too. The Peugeot Warranty is...
Nice Moroccan on eBay for £15K with 22k miles. Good to see quality R's holding at top end £12K+
The seller with the apparent 'DIY R speical edition' is somewhat delusional.
I would want a used R with a Peugeot Warranty to take care of any possible issues, I got 18months with mine from previous...
It may be bollocks to you; your assumption they wrecked the part is alas like much you spout misguided but it needs to be changed as part of the HPFP at a main dealer and with a warranty claim.
Like this I believe Genuine High Pressure Fuel Pump Pipe Hose for PSA Citroen Peugeot 1.6 Petrol | eBay
Peugeot gave little of a toss when the car was in production let alone years later. They have no moral duty; as before it's all in the T&Cs of the Warranty Claim and Peugeot Warranty Scheme...
Mtec roll out the same reply/excuse every time I have contacted them several times, their reply: low staff, but this year they had a believable one, they said it was due to Covid, they have in my view no intention of ever producing a disc for the R; waste of time
As I bleat on the HPFP is not fit for purpose; maybe I should feel lucky as mine was in the MD for 2 weeks last Summer, they had the pump just not the pipe which apparently needs changing too, given the amount of failures perhaps this was their inability to keep up with the demand. If they don't...
