I worked with SuperChips in developing a remap for our THP200 RCZ, and removing the ECU was necessary for the first time in order for them to do future adjustments via BDM. I am no expert on remapping, but in discussing this with SuperChips it was deemed that the ECU must be accessed directly...
Start with the least expensive part and in the case of replacing tyres we recommend replacing the valves each time when you do (they do this with standard valves).

Only input is that you get what you pay for. Determine the actual options you want with the car but list them as 'Must Have' and 'Nice to Have' so that when you find an RCZ that does not have a 'Nice to Have' you can always use that as a bargaining chip and still get what you want. For example...
No comparison when it comes to your decision to be honest. If you want to blend into the crowd and get something that you want then that will be the ST...great car. However owning an RCZ is love at first sight and you will never fit in, you will always be a stand out, and not will you enjoy...

We have not heard anyone saying the turbo is delicate on the RCZ, remember this is the same turbo used on the DS3 and Mini with the same engine, so your mate must have some evidence to...
