Hi All,

I'm lucky enough to be the owner of what I understand to be only 30 x RCZ R's in Australia. Great car to drive and gets noticed on the road.

However - with so few in the country, the local Peugeot dealers don't have a lot of experience with the car hence my membership of this forum.

I'm yet to search through previous posts but I now have a repeat of problems with significant brake shudder when breaking from faster than 80 kph.

Peugeot replaced the rotors under warranty at just under 20,000 km (although I had to pay $AUD 1,000 for the brake pads) - and that solved the problem for about 1,000 kilometres...but the problem's come back! I've now done about 4,000 km on the new rotors with the problem still there. The Peugeot service guy that's helped me has told me that I need to brake more aggressively all the time to "enable to rotors to heat up and wear evenly" - which is impossible as a daily commuting car. Since fitting the new rotors the majority of my driving has been up in the hills aggressively cornering plus a track day with very heavy braking but the problem persists!

I'm taking the car back next Wednesday so if there's any hard evidence that would point to the standard rotors being problematic (and/or proof of a recall by Peugeot in Europe?) that would be awesome! At $AUD 5,000+ if not covered by Peugeot I'm concerned....

Regards and thanks!

Hi and thanks for the links. I've actually seen these two and have printed a subset to show the Dealer. I'll be sure to post some pictures too!

welcome and good luck with your cause. with so few R's in the country you'll be lucky to get a dealer/technician who knows much about them!
