Good fuels do make cars run better. I also add fuel additives on a regular basis. I find that Millers Ecomax helps. We've also got a near 100,000 mile Mini Clubman S with the same engine. It makes that run noticeably better. I put 100ml in a full tank.

If there is plenty of thickness left on discs you could have them skimmed.

Did it fail for those discs? Your C hooks are still visible. They don't look too bad. £2000 for front discs and pads is far too much. Peugeot Parts Direct are current £720 for the discs. There are various choices of brake pads. You can get cheap ones for £60 and performance pads start around...

The garage don't know where it's coming from. They checked all the things they removed and couldn't find anything wrong. I'm not sure if they checked the boost pressure. There are no fault codes showing.

There is also Michelin PS5 now. I put Goodyear Asymmetric 5 on the Mini. Grip levels are good. They are very quiet and smooth due to Goodyear Asymmetric soft sidewalls. They aren't the best tyres for sharp handling.
