1. I was under the impression it just twisted off? Have not tried it yet but on the Mini forums they say you remove a plastic half circle shape clip (not present on my RCZ) and the hose slips off. Perhaps it's welded to the rocker cover and needs a good twist or some WD-40?
2. The hose on the...
Yeah it's been mostly Mini forums I've seen them promoted on... Same engine so same benefits to us RCZ owners 👍
Ive decided to fit one anyways... I'll report back & do a 'How To' but tbh it's a simple job with potentially excellent benefits (anything that cuts down on intake valve carbon...
Anybody fit an oil catch can to trap all the oily air recycled from the PCV valve and on through the cold feed to the turbo?
Done some research and I believe this can greatly reduce the carbon deposits building on the back of the intake valves. As well as that I recon you can do without all...
Banjo's need to be torqued down to 30Nm both turbo & engine block sides. That's not a lot so the only way they could have messed it up is by hand tightening both the banjo's to the turbo/block and the banjo's connection to the oil feed line. You do this to initially position the oil feed line...
I'd be asking for more information than that... like exactly what this means
And your right... with all the engine parts stripped out it's a good time to replace everything although the turbo oil return hose rarely fails I believe.
Glad your sorted now 👍
Been driving a re-mapped 406 Coupe 2.2 HDi past 17 years. I'm not a 'floor & redline it' type of driver but I do like a car with good pull/torque as it's this that gives the feeling of speed and throws you back in your seat IMO.
Having just bought a 156 THP RCZ (Mark I, 2010) I was pretty...
Old thread but relevant to some work I've been doing to my car lately.
I am led to believe that unlike the 200 THP the 156 THP has no MAF sensor, it's airflow is unmetered.
The 2 sensors on the left side of the car looking on from front are the Boost sensor (on the intercooler return) and...
Wow... that's shocking  If it's the oil feed line you'll see it leaking on top of the turbo if it's turbo side but you won't see it (obv) on the block side as it's behind 2 heat shields and the Cat. Mine was dry on the block side.
Would you not give it a shot yourself? It really isn't...
Yes you need to get the car on a PP2000 diagnostics machine and look to pinpoint the problem. As DKZ mentioned... it's most likely a sensor fault or wiring issue 👍
When you say 'garage' do you mean a Peugeot dealership (who should run the car through PP2000) or an independent (who might not)?
Welcome 👍 You will never in your lifetime find a car that looks as good as the RCZ for the money you will have paid 😁
I'm a new owner myself (bought my THP 156 2 months ago) and I've already learned loads from this site and a couple of Facebook sites.
The car has a few common known issues so...
I've added a 'how-to' guide to my other thread after getting this job done today 👍
Hope it will be of help to anyone who need to get this job done. It's totally do-able 😁👍

The bottom heat shield has 4 10mm bolts (2 each side)... you can see the position of the bolts in the photo. It is also connected by 2 brackets at the bottom that also support the CAT at the bottom. All these are removed from under the car.
OK this picture is taken from under the car...
Ok.... got this done today 😁 Delighted 👍
Said I would do a mini 'How To' when I completed the job so here goes....
NB:: Disconnect the battery before you start. The bottom heat shield passes very close to the alternator permanent positive feed and if it touches off it while being removed...
Tell me about it. I have the turbo oil feed issue myself. The Peugeot oil feed line is a joke & not fit for purpose. I have the replacement upgraded line and i'm in the process of fitting it 👍
