I want to remove the aircon vents and I've done some googling and also seen a video on Youtube that shows how, but in that video, you have to remove a bunch of interior pieces so you can get behind the vents and push while unlocking the tabs with a small flat head screwdriver.
However, in the...
Ah yes, those "expert" mechanics are at it again. I swear, they all graduate from one of two schools, the 'school of not giving a toss' and the 'school of how to spot an opportunity to rip someone off'
Yes I know what a motherboard is, but which one would he be referring to? There are several in the car. Furthermore, 'connection disruption' is the a very generic term that tells you nothing.
What connection? Where was it going to? How did it come to be 'disrupted'? Did a wire get loose or did...
As Pedro wrote, definitely check the cleanliness of the drainage holes for that boot area. If you aren't getting water in the boot itself then it wouldn't be a problem with the seal.
I'm confused. You initially wrote that you 'did not have time to ask for a precise clarification', but now you write that you DID ask.
Moving on from your inconsistent information, I still don't know what 'connection disruption' means, how that relates to the 'motherboard' and what was done to...
It looks like the green upper section has separated a bit from the lower black section. Try squeezing them together to hopefully get it to perhaps click back into place, then try
Well yes, he might be a qualified mechanic but there is still specialised training mechanics do if they work for a particular brand. Plus it can't be argued that if you work on particular cars in your job, you get very familiar with the types of things that can go wrong and also get much better...
When they are on; tail and stop lights are red, indicators amber and headlights, parking lights and reversing lights are white.
From Vic gov vehicle standards information (as an example):
Generally, all motor vehicles must be fitted with functional headlamps, stop lamps, front and rear...
Do you have the exact wording from the electrician or he told you that?
Because I am unclear what you mean by 'motherboard' and also what exactly was 'connection disruption' and how was that repaired?
I wondered that too, but I could think of five reasons;
cracking the shell when trying to separate it from the main light unit is a risk some people don't want to take
the amount of effort required is greater than they are prepared to put in
they can't have the car off the road for the day...
So if I want to wrap the black part, I'd have to take the front bar off to get that part off? If so, did you just get the guys at the wrap workshop to do that?
Lowered springs every time. Unless you are taking the car to the track every weekend, the braces are absolutely pointless. And even then I'd argue their usefullness is limited.
You see, this is why I'm reluctant to buy anything off AliExpress, they can't even get the descriptions correct and we're supposed to trust that they can make complex electronics? Just imagine putting in a counterfeit module (its what they basically are) and then it kills your ECU.
Just check...
You had the same issue? I've been driving it a lot doing the usual around town, but the same warning popped up today and in similar circumstances. Side note, I've chucked in an OBD2 reader and used the Torque Pro software, no codes were detected at all.
First time, was after I'd been driving on...
Thanks mate. I like to get an idea of prices for items because there is a lot of either counterfeit or reproductions which are low quality so a lower price isn't always the best choice but I'll check it out!
