I'm going to replace the rear Brake Discs and pads this weekend. I will take this opportunity to clean and paint the calipers. Opal white car with silver arches - Any suggestions on what colour to paint them ?

No luck I'm afraid. The Service box diagram is not like the Haynes books - nice and simple. Not able to copy the diagram for you as its all hyperlinked. If you can see the motor terminals (or lugs on the electric motor itself), then maybe you can apply a low voltage directly. I'm sure 6 volts...

I have the circuit diagram, Will try and identify which terminals for you. Failing that I can copy the relevant part and you can make your own choice.

"Cleaner" - I missed that :)

I used this stuff.... WD40 ..but I think it would need a few attempts and some compressed air to clean that. Brake fluid is very corrosive - I would avoid that.

Parked up by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. Spotted whilst on holiday. Wish I'd taken my RCZ - some lovely drives across the moors.

Only got 40,000 miles on the clock and regularly serviced. I will get a spare and keep it in the boot. Now that I know what a failed one behaves like I will be prepared.

Out for a drive yesterday, Forest of Dean & Wye Valley. Engine stuttered, Engine warning light etc. Called the AA, Warning light had dissapeared but engine still stuttering. AA chap was pretty sure it was a coil, so No2. was replaced and now runs like a dream. He charged me £93 for the coil...
