I'm a little late to the party

There is a reset procedure in the handbook it could just be that due to low battery power it’s lost it’s position memory? If that doesn’t sort it it will be a faulty regulator which are quite costly to replace

WIP COM 3-D system restart every 30 minutes

Yes when the cable starts to fail the screen flickers it doesn’t restart the system, I’ve had something similar and I pulled the fuse for a few minutes seemed to cure it but as already suggested I would install an software update as it’s probably never been done

    Want to take the plunge

There’s a lot of RCZ’s out there on the market, but very few nice ones that have been properly looked after, they’re such a gorgeous car it’s hard to walk away from cars that just don’t cut it but the right car is out there.

    New Battery?

This is what I put on mine, don’t be put off doing it yourself it’s a doddle just remember to let all the electrical systems shut down first before disconnecting and then after reconnecting 5-10 minutes is ample but I have heard that the Diesels need around 40 minutes after reconnecting

    Newbie Sarah Portsmouth.

Hi Sarah, I think you mean water marks on the alloy roof arches? These should come off with some Autoglym tyre and trim gel or something similar but you will have to keep up with them as they do water stain over time

    Want to take the plunge

Cat N’s should be fine as it’s just cosmetic damage that the insurance companies don’t see viable to repair due to cost, cat S is structural but as long as they’re repaired properly can still be a good buy, the diesel your looking at should be fine at that milage and the timing belt has another...

    Engine Management Light Issue

Obviously all that work hasn’t sorted the original issue and we hear this so often as mechanics get lead down the wrong path with diagnosis and this is why people slag the RCZ off as a money pit! It could still be something quite simple many issues will bring on limp mode it’s just tracking...

Vandalism done to my tail lights and is there any way around to fix them?

They can be split but I don’t think the outer is available separately
  13. neilgsxr69

Has anyone ever repaired and resprayed their alloys themselves?

There’s no real harm in having a go yourself if you’re not happy with the result you can always have them professionally refurbed there are even companies that will do it on your drive! mid you do have a go post some before and after photos for us it may help others in the future

    Knocking suspension.

How do the rear axle bushes look? Your knocking could be coming from there?

2010 THP156 Coolant Leak (Themostat & Rear Coolant Exhaust Pipe)

I’m sure with the revised thermostat housing you also need the extra cable that allows connection to the existing harness

    TMPS Sensors

There are original quality sensors available via eBay and AliExpress I think Les Verminator has the links they’re not expensive at all

Vandalism done to my tail lights and is there any way around to fix them?

Sorry to hear your dilemma you could vinyl wrap them with a tinted film, this is something some owners do anyway which gives the car a different look this may possibly hide the damage?

    Low fuel rail pressure

Nice one for giving it a go, with the guy on eBay doing a repair service it’s obviously something that can be fixed you just need the parts and the tools 👍🏻
