The tailpipes are not actually fixed to the exhaust system and are basically dummy tips they’re clipped onto the bumper and defuser they fit round the exhaust with some Gauze type material in between, your rear trim that’s hanging down is a common problem there are two little plastic lugs that...
The original timing kit did get updated with stronger guides and better tensioner,not sure about the actual chain, personally I would go for the dealer parts they’re not as expensive as you may think.
I highly recommend the soft99 products been using them years now they have a few quick detailers that do exactly that but do last quite some time and they’re hydrophobic properties are insane
As previously stated Peugeot now recommend the 0W-30 this came to light after all the timing chain problems could it be the fact that the 0W-30 gets round the engine quicker on cold start ups? Like Pedro said let your intuition guide your oil selection
