Have you got a video or recording? That might make it little easier to work out.

I changed mine, it's an easy enough job. Did the diff and gearbox on my GT86 too. I think on the RCZ I had to make a little tinfoil chute as there is a rollbar in the way of the drain plug. Still spilled oil all over the drive, obviously.

Unfortunately the chain and gubbins is a weak point on the Prince. I'd well imagine if it has snapped it will have caused internal damage. You may get a chunky bill.

I'd try and get it fixed. You never know if it'll decided to not weep and properly leak one day, then all the oil will do a runner. Can it leak on to the exhaust?

Definitely clean. There's no point greasing muck. I did the same with mine, sprayed some degreaser on the mechanism, worked it in with a brush then flushed it with water.

Any ng4 should work. I fell lucky, it was about £250 from memory. The only "rcz" Ng4s were all from Lithuania and Poland at the time and well in excess of £600, excluding shipping.

Do they use the correct diagnostic equipment? Peugeot/Citroen are notoriously difficult to read if you're not using the correct gear. You CAN read them with generic readers, but you won't get the full picture.

I only ever own one car at a time now. I did have 3 at one point. I wasn't popular. Since I owned my RCZ I had a GT 86 for 3 years which was great and now because I'm old and broken I have a 2021 GR 2.0 Corolla estate.
