I’ve been trying to remember if the Red Carbon had extended leather as standard. I seem to think it did.
If you use a proprietary leather cleaner on them it should work just fine even if they turn out to be the faux stuff.
Astonish do a very cheap leather cleaner that I have found to work as...
The spoiler automatically deploys at @ 55 mph and lowers again @ 35 mph. It can’t be seen at stage 1 deployment from the drivers seat. At @ 98 mph stage 2 deploys which can be seen through the rear view mirror.
If you want to check auto deployment you can try raising the spoiler manually...
I have always run mine on Shell Nitro V Power here in the U.K. This is 99 octane. If on the rare occasion I need fuel & can’t find a garage selling premium fuel, I always add Red X fuel additive to the tank.
My car is now 8 years old & has always run like an F1 Merc 😄
Welcome 🖖🏻 @Jami-Panda I can’t deny being jealous of your beautiful R the only thing that could make it better would be if it was red 🤣
You have really dropped on there with a nice late model R. Be prepared for an overdose of smiles, admiring looks from passers by & a stiff neck from looking...
A few years ago when mine had the same issues, I took it to and indie & they replaced all coil packs & plugs. They asked if I wanted them to try to source Peugeot coils or replace them with Bosch as that’s what was fitted - the coil packs were in the car from new, so It was Bosch fitted at the...
It does appear that the rear lights are very fussy about the bulb you replace. It’s good to know that what at first appears to be quite an expensive issue can easily and cheaply be solved by just using a different bulb.
As Pedro has said, try to use higher grade fuel. I have only ever used Shell V Power Nitro in mine & had it for the last 8 years or so.
I had all the coil packs & plugs replaced a few years ago when mine started with the same symptoms as yours. I then had to have the fuel rail & HPFP replaced...
If your windscreen has been replaced, the arches will have had to be removed to do the job. I had a new screen fitted several years ago by National Glass and the fitter had to remove mine.
As has been pointed out, the seals are only there as a buffer between the arch and the glass/bodywork...
Sorry, I haven’t been on the forum for a while.
As NF7 has said, I had this problem for quite a while - several months before I took it to the garage. I thought it seemed to be getting more frequent, and it had only done it in first gear to start with, but then also reverse.
As previously...
A government bill has been proposed which contains a very worrying “Tackling Tampering” section buried within and was unnoticed by many until the official response was closed.
This legislation threatens to destroy a huge market in the UK employing hundreds of thousands of people; it is ill...
