White looks better in person than in photos.

I can't say I've seen that one before. It has been with the same owner for a long time.

It looks like the red track day modified car has also gone. It's not on Autotrader of their own website anymore.

Another dreamer wanting £16,550 for a 60,000 mile car. The driver's seat has a lot of wear.

The red one has had the brakes as an advisory a couple of times. They'll need done. An advert selling on behalf of someone else is always a red flag for me.

Never understood the business of someone selling a car on behalf of someone else, red flag for me too.

Rightly or wrongly I just think scam.

A 14 plate with 72,000 miles on AutoTrader for only £7995.

A colourful MOT history.

Is it me, or is that car sitting to high at the front, looks to have standard suspension, also something not right with the back on both front seats.

MOT history horror show.

Maybe fed up of breaking springs looking at the MOT history and went with big springs. :)

The budget tyres look brand new. Maybe the dealer just stuck them on and the suspension hasn't settled?!

I think the seats are just too upright?

Stitching over R logo looks strange, definitely to high on the front.

The R is high on the seats. I couldn't see much wrong with the seats. Just sitting very upright that made them look odd. The car has been taken off AutoTrader already.

A couple more have come up. They are coming up regularly at the moment.

That Facebook page is only visible to members.

Maybe screenshot it for here if the seller is ok with that?

They both red aren't they? Assuming it's the same couple, she bought one first and it was from another member on FB page. It had clutch and DMF replaced under warranty and I think that was the ex press car as I did express an interest then and chatted to the previous owner. The husband bought one which was a very low mileage example I believe from another member.

There are now pictures of the black car on AutoTrader at £11,995 and 45,300 miles.

It looks like it has brand new front brake discs and calipers. The rear calipers and brake lines look brand new as well.

Budget tyres and that black wheels aren't for me.

I don't think I've ever seen an R with the engine mount bolts rusty like that. Rusty bolts and new brake lines maybe suggest corrosion will be elsewhere.

The coolant header tank is almost empty. It's well below the minimum level. That's concerning.

I'm curious why the previous owner has spent a fortune on the brakes and then put the car to trade. That would have been expensive.

I think it looks a decent example for the money, brakes done is a big plus, don’t like it when they don’t show the reg.

You have a keen eye with the header tank Kerr, I can’t tell, rusty bolts wouldn’t put me off, mine when bought were similar, swapped all out for stainless.

How do you know about the brake lines?

It does look clean and shiny otherwise. The interior looks fine too.

You can see the brake lines into the rear brake calipers on the photos. They are new as are the rear calipers.

I've attached a photo of the header tank. You can see the dark level line low on the tank.

The cheap car at £8500 has updated their advert since last time I looked. They have added a lot of the bills.

There is a bill from late last year that highlights they have topped up the oil as it was low again.

If the same garage is aware the oil has been running low a few times and the MOT is highlighting a smokey engine it looks bad.

Wow that’s bad! Considering it only had a service recently that would set alarm bells ringing for me, obviously a coolant leak question is where?

Buying from a dealer though you could flag before purchase so it’s sorted.
