Picked the new car up yesterday afternoon. GT 163 HDI in charcoal. Car looked fantastic!
Any way, went to pick the wife up from work and to cut a long story short, she drove home. Reversing into a parking space and .....Yep, straight against the kerb! Not even had it two hours!
So today the car is in the wheel repairers and wont be back till tomorrow.
All I ever seem to do is wait for this car!

She needs to use the dipping mirrors when in reverse - mind you I'd still ban her   :eusa-whistle:

Hey up there guys - are you saying us woman can't reverse :eusa-think: :)

I'll have you know my reverse parking is second to none :!: I always reverse into a parking space between two cars no proble (parallel parking). My problem is I can't drive into a parking space between two cars - strange but true

I'm in agreement with RCZ1...we women are not ALL lousy parkers. :x I always reverse into spaces and even into my very small driveway so that I can drive out onto quite a busy road. Even when I had an SUV and space was tight I still managed to reverse it through the gates without any probs. But...I will admit my current alloys are a bit battered and bruised  and I'm going to have to be extra careful with my new car. Wouldn't want those lovely onyx alloys to lose their paint. :eusa-shhh:

Afraid I have to raise my hand and trump everyone... kerbed the rear driver side alloy coming out of the dealers when I collected the car  Luckily not that bad but it was a bit embarrassing! Anyone buying from Charles Hurst Belfast will understand how I did it... the entrace to the dealership is just plain evil, and I was used to navigating it in a 407 coupe which has the turning circle of an aircraft carrier

You do realise that you'll now be asked to prove that on our Norn Iron mini-meet

I am afraid I have to own up 11 days into ownership I managed to kerb the n/s front, worst thing is I dont even know where I did it. I am generally over cautious when it comes to parking and my wheels, I cant even blame any one else as nobody else has driven it. First wheel I have ever kerbed and it had to be the RCZ !

I assume you mean when parallel parking here? Realistically you can only reverse park as there's more manoeuvrability when driving wheels last.

Or are you talking a normal car park type space?

Managed to do the front left coming out of a tight multi storey in Notingham  . I rang the dealer who checked the tracking and tyre for damage and recomended a repair agent. My good lady was not to impressed, however to make me feel better she washed the garden furniture seats in the washing machine and forgot to take out the steel rods :eusa-think:. At least the alloy repair is going to be cheeper. My car is in for 24hrs getting fixed today. I cant thank the Peugeot Dealer enough they have let me use a demo RCZ until I get my car back  . Awsome customer care.

I mean parallel parking. Of course I can pull straight into a normal type car parking space - what do you take me for ? :eusa-think:

I got the car back yesterday..............and they've painted the wheel a different colour! (wheels are 19" soltice onyx black) So I now have 1 dark grey and three black wheels! Going to buy a spare wheel now so that I can swap around when having wheels repaired. I dont like losing the car when the wheels are being done.
A word of warning to those with these wheels however. These wheels can only be cut once or twice as the metal on the alloy coloured part is only thick enough for one or two cuts. After that the whole wheel will have to be painted completely. (still look good though)
So be careful out there!!

Got the car back from the Colour Kit in Leicester. Great job, can't see where the damage was.

I've managed to join the club

To add insult to injury I've managed to do 2 (front offside, leaving a hotel multi-storey and rear nearside leaving a different multi-storey), and scrape the left hand edge of the front skirt.

Not a good week, although (for anyone as superstitous as me out there) at least that's 3 things now, so maybe I can breath easy.

Anyone got any recommendations for alloy wheel refurbishers and scuff removal firms in the Canterbury area??
