owning an RCZ is the best feeling ever not only is it great to drive and better to look at, you never get bored of people who stop and stare as you drive by.

Poor johnman40 has probably waited months for the arrival of his new motor and you have just put a right dark cloud over his new purchase. I think he was looking for a more positive feed back

To be fair most of Jassys points are indeed valid.

The sensor issues are a known fault in the prince engine from Pug to BMW to Citreon its well documented.

The boat wheel is another issue of contention and a shame its not been ditched in the revamp

the wing mirror issue is another prevalent problem. so its justified... but not really a "problem" as such and a cheap fix.

I also found the staggered pedals to be fairly uncomfy.

At the end of the day I loved the car despite those issues and am looking to buy another one. But I wont pretend like the cars perfect, there are compromises.

But then you expect that in what is essentially - these days - one of the cheapest car in its sector.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. No car is perfect.
All I know is after driving some frikkin sheds over the years (including, ahem, a Ford Orion - please forgive me), it will be a Rolls Royce by comparison - and I just love the look of it :eusa-whistle:

... the main reason I can now afford one of these beautiful machines? ... quitting smoking.
Surely the best incentive for anyone!

If you think about it, if those are the main concerns of ownerships, its a borderline compliment.

Think about the Golf 7, recall in the DSG gearboxes, constant rattle from rear suspension, heard of an engine giving up the ghost with 1 500km on the clock... We are complaining about big steering wheels and a clutch that takes a bit high

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, but being an Engineer and a bit of a petrol head I have owned numerous cars ( some good, some bad) and taken most of them to bits at some stage or another, yes the car does have a few issues but log in to any forum like this from Jags, Mercs, Audis etc down to ya cheap Korean cars and you will find they are all the same. The thing is if ya buy a new model car you will always get niggles but if wait around a couple of years till they are all sorted the car will be old hat and will have lost its appeal. My point is, when someone joins a forum and posts the sort of question Jonman40 did it would be more welcoming to be positive rather than to blurt out all the bad points and basically say you bought a load of crap. Anyway, my advice is try to buy the car with dealer warranty, any issues take it back I have found my local dealer (Booths of Ditton,Cheshire) very helpful.

No car is perfect, like all things in life. Someone, somewhere will always have issues with one thing or another.

I had the timing chain problem on my first RCZ but it didn't cause me a problem as such. It was booked in at the dealers, sorted and replaced, and handed back to me, all in one day. All done whilst I was at work. No inconvenience to me.
No other problems with it.

Enjoyed the car so much I bought a facelifted model and that's even better.

I will just rename myself Balboa then Ding Ding.................Without this going another Round  , I only gave my opinion of owning my RCZ/LEASING and it was the best looking RCZ by far  and 1 of the first in the west of Scotland reason being how i cared for the car, it "GLEAMED" It had all round tints "A first"I was the catalyst for all members who chose to change their DRLS to LED and for that matter all bulbs in the rcz Lighting Dept......that much RCZ performance  Started his aftermarket led selling part of his buisness with bulbs/lights that i had intitiated, I WAS ALSO the FIRST regular/uk member to get the Sports steering wheel by that l mean replacing the larger GT steering wheel and so have many other members just by my recommendation

So let the witch hunt end i have been A very PRO ACTIVE member on here but you wouldnt know this by only coming on here 18 months ago :eusa-shhh:

Ps...Sorry for photos with the Viagra Spoiler

Hi and welcome to he forum  I suppose we're still enjoying the honeymoon period. We've had our Lola since August and are still fighting over who gets to drive her. She looks stunning and is a pleasure to drive. We've just come back from a short trip up to the homeland, that's Oxfordshire to Fife and back over the weekend, and she made the journey seem effortless. For Christmas were travelling down to visit Nina's folks in the south of France and are actually looking forward to a ten hour drive  I hope all your experiences with your new car are positive and your expectations are fulfilled. All the best for the the new year

We've done the trip a couple of times in our previous car - Oscar, a 207 Verve. Were heading down to the Nimes and Arles areas which is around a ten hour drive, but we're rather looking forward to it with Lola. If all goes well, we may do a bit of a European tour in the near future, fingers crossed :) Well let you know how it goes.

Forget this "maybe", just drive. I'm down there a couple of times each year, it's VERY well worth the time, some amazing roads and sceneries down there
