Personaly i'm too much of a worrier for this type of looking after.
What about a stone chip OMG, wheres the valium. :?
RCZGT200 said:If I mention that you cannot do touch ups or local repairs to the paint and therefore if you scratch it you have to repaint the whole panel would you need some of that Michael Jackson anaesthetic stuff :eusa-think:
Just think of the fortune you save not having to buy multiple waxes and polishes...I reckon Im quids in0058RON I couldn't afford the maintenance of your new car Marcus
You dont have to do that :beer:JOAKES stops you having to clean insects off as soon as they touch the paint

what does that little bundle cost ?
And you really have to stick with the correct cleaning products ?

I'm not sure about the chamois leather by the way. A big no no I think. Even if it's only for doing the windows, you can't help but catch the paintwork and a chamois on paint :ugeek:
I'm still curious as to why you can't wax it even though one of the biggest wax producers, Swissvax, have made a wax specifically for matt paints. It doesn't give a shine and will give good protection to the paintwork from the elements, UVs, etc.

Jassy, if you are paying nigh on 30k for a car, that you can't polish or wax, you of all people should be worried about the state it would be in, a year or 2 down the line. The Asphalt is not for me I'm afraid, not just because you can't do much with it to maintain it, I just don't like matt paints. But that's what makes us all individuals I guess
RCZ1 said:It is harder to get a wet look with white, but it can be achieved. I agree with you on red paint though. My last car was red and the wax finish was amazing. Such depth, clarity and warmth was easily achieved. I personally don't think you can beat a nicely waxed red car  I still love my Pearl though![]()
