I know this might sound daft but wondering does it actually mean anything or is it just a random selection of letters picked by the marketing department?
Not far off from what I was told at the plant.tomy90 said:I know this might sound daft but wondering does it actually mean anything or is it just a random selection of letters picked by the marketing department?
Is that likely bearing in mind that the car is not British built or designed? Why would they choose anything in English :?:JOAKES said:the name was originally the 308 RCZ, so racing coupe something?
Nope - it's the last letter of the alphabet Z which started the name off, the end - final etc. Not sure why they picked the RC some choice made by a marketing women, I think the same one who changed Asphalt from black to grey. :eusa-think:JOAKES said:the name was originally the 308 RCZ, so racing coupe something?
Visit the plant - they will tell you :wave:beetle9 said:Hi all,
From what understand the RC part is a French equivalent of GT (grand tourer?), and the Z is in relation to the car designers Zagato. Zagato have a signature design language which includes the double bubble roof arrangement. Although Zagato had no part in the cars design, this was done in house by Peugeot.

You need to visit Graz.PeugeotTechUK said:RCZ doesn't really stand for anything really, it was just a name given to the car.
But for Peugeot in france there equivalent GTi bagde is called a RC - 206rc 207rc etc.
So im guessing its RC for that reason and the z means nothing at all.
Just meant to sound cool.
