Please DO

The car itself doesn't look good, I guess it REALLY hard to create a convertible which still shows the typical RCZ features...

BUT I WANT THOSE DARK REAR LIGHTS ON MINE!

If they build the convertible, you'll get this dark lights as street-legal(!) replacement parts.

For those of you following the trails and tribulations of my Industrial Tribunal case.....

The judgement of the Employment Tribunal is that:

1. The Claimant's claim of unfair dismissal is well founded and succeeds.

2. No compensatory award shall be made for unfair dismissal.

3. The claimant was wrongfully dismissed in breach of contract.

So I have cleared my name but at a huge expense. My savings are gone and I remain with a large bill still owing to my solicitor. He is the only winner in this sad affair

Wo wo wo...you were wrongfully dismissed in breach of contract yet you are to receive no compensation AND have to cover your own court costs?! On which CRAZY world does that make any sense?!?!

Expenses are not awarded in Industrial Tribunal cases. I always knew this. However I wrongly assumed that by proving that I was unfairly dismissed would result in compensation being awarded which would more than cover my legal costs.

I have an outstanding bill of £7200 for the solicitor and have paid him circa £9K already. The only positive for me is that my name has been cleared. This may or may not help with future employment. How will a potential employer view a candidate that is potentially going to take them to an Industrial Tribunal?

Excuse my french but that sounds arse about tit Ron! It's astounding that you won but didn't get anything to compensate for the stress and surely loss of earnings?

Man that's rough justice! :-(

That's exactly how I feel. I accept that I had an accident at work. I do not accept that the accident was caused deliberately by me. The judge accepted this in the judgement and says that I was unfairly dismissed. So why should they not be made pay what it has cost me to prove this?

The facts remain that I was unfairly dismissed and that I am circa £14k out of pocket  British justice

The first thing that springs to mind is a re trial (not common in employment law but still possible) but it risks loosing more money. Which I'm sure at this point is not a thing you want to do.
Could this not now be taken to county court to sue for lose?

I'm staggered! Ron, it's fantastic that you've cleared you good name but gutted for you that our employment law can let bad employers off the hook with such ease.

Photojohn's suggestion seems well worth looking into. You now have a legal decision in your favour. Perhaps your ex-employer will be amenable to an out of court settlement if you were to bring a civil case in view of that.

You might also want to ask your own solicitor why he didn't tell you there was no likelihood of compensation. He should have given you various scenarios of how the case might go before you committed to the proceedings.
