Bare with me on this one Rizz as I do not understand. Are you saying that I can in some way view my emails via Gmail instead of Windows Live? and if so how?mrizzle said:

Unfortunately not RON. They are actually different web based mail services/email clients. One cannot be viewed through the other. You would have to open a new account with gmail (google's web mail service).

So that would then entail obtaining a new Email address and alerting all of my contacts to change their records. Seems that the cure is more painful than the symptoms. So I shall continue to block the spam as I have been doing to date. Just thought that I would pose the question to see if there was something that I could do. Thanks anyway

Well I would setup a gmail account and forward email from the other account to the new gmail account also you can use outlook as a client to read and send emails.
Gmail has my highest recommendation as it syncs with iPhones and android based devices which also means all your contacts and calendar details are backed up to the cloud (Internet) so even if you replace your phone with an upgrade you lose no contact info.

I should add that I switched to a mac and still use gmail.

A quick tip to stop getting marketing emails is to filter by using the word unsubscribe

I was just about to post that gadget! I had a little search on ways and that seems to be the best way of getting rid of a lot of spam.
It doesn't help with the problem of targeted spam, or emails that come through contacts.

On the last step change its from "From sender" to something like "message contains". Then the folder to Spam/Junk. I've not logged into my Live! email to check whether the option is there, but it should be!

I went to see my favourite musical artist again on Saturday and it was in my opinion the best ever. Saw Hazel O'Connor at the Duchess in York. What an amazing gig it was :thumbup: Bought an autobiography that she has just released and my eyes are all boggled now from reading it. I thought that I had had a rum start in life but hers was far worse. It is great to know a little more about the person that I have travelled so far to see perform and puts a meaning to the songs that I have known and loved for so long. The only blot on the evening was learning that has managed to re-release a DVD that I have had on VHS and DVD from the early eighty's and were rare and sought after. It was great to know that I had something rare, but now a copy can be purchased for a mere £20 were previously I saw an original copy like mine sell for in excess of £160. Hey ho :roll:

I know all about pointless. I buy vinyls when I don't have a vinyl player I like having large artwork though!
I'm also going to see one of my favourite musical artists this week. Got tickets for Muse on Tues

So you are from the home of Peugeot Uk? It is silly I know, but I can't seem to part with it, despite the fact that I chucked all the other VHS tapes out, years ago when I first got a DVD player. I just adore this ladies music and get so much pleasure from listening to it. I tend to listen to music and not simply have it on and her lyrics are so meaningful. It is a little like listening to a audio book and being read a story, so now to have her autobiography and to learn where/why/when some of these songs were penned it simply fascinating.

I might have a listen to her then. As a vocalist and lyricist myself it annoys me no end when songs have no feeling behind them.
