This sounds very much like my week jactac. Up @ 0400Hrs. Off for a 12Hr shift for a horrible German outfit. Home for just after 1800Hrs. However no rewarding trips or excursions, not even a bottle of beer at Christmas. Welcome to the real world of slavery.jactac said:Good evening campers.

OO58RON said:Well chaps, today is the day....... Here I sit at home alone. My Bestest has gone to work leaving me with nothing else to do but prepare myself for an evening of pleasure...... no jactac, no sheep involved ! I am off to the 02 Academy Newcastle to see/hear Black Stone Cherries supported by an equally talented group Rival Sons  All I need to do is stay awake long enough. A night in a local hotel may ensue if the latter proves impossible :helpme:

Black stone cherry...I am impressed RON! Saw them last year as a support band for Alter Bridge. The singer has a cracking voice! Brilliant proper rock. Tried..and failed to get tickets for the in Aberdeen this year. They are seemingly HUGE in the states! Enjoy the gig and let us know how they are!
I have to start out by saying that I stood out like a sore thumb. I was not dressed in black t-shirt or have long hair (in or out of a pony tail) Nor do I have tattoos or piercings. I was however in the right place to hear a great sound. The show was very lively especially Ben Wells, man does he have some energy !! Bouncing and dancing all over the stage. John Fred did a solo piece, must have lasted five minutes or more. Man can he play the drums or wot !! AWESOME !!!!! As you have said Chris has a cracking voice, fortunately it didn't crack on the night and he belted out the sounds. My favourite part was the acoustic set, as it was the more familiar sound to me. They even did an improvised "acoustic rock" piece. Hell was that an amazing sight. Overall I am pleased that I went but would not repeat it. I shall stick to listening to the albums.mrizzle said:Black stone cherry...I am impressed RON! Saw them last year as a support band for Alter Bridge. The singer has a cracking voice!
